TheBytemaster Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I was looking to buy a gaming laptop, and after many long hours of searching, I think I found the one for me. I'm trying to save money so I thought I'd go for an affordable used one. http://www.amazon.com/ACER-Notebook-TM8481T-6873-LX-V4V03-112-14-Inch/dp/B005V23FTU What do you guys think?
Moderators AetherPirate Posted March 2, 2015 Moderators Posted March 2, 2015 Looks nice, an i7 with an SSD. Maybe add some RAM afterwards.
disconsented Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 That is not a gaming laptop at all. There is no dedicated graphics card (aka the single most important thing for a gaming system)
Moderators AetherPirate Posted March 2, 2015 Moderators Posted March 2, 2015 For the price point, for Minecraft, it'd do ok.
TheBytemaster Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 *uncomfortable silence* ... uh.. ...... That was a joke. (The "Used" one is priced at $11,252.79)
Moderators AetherPirate Posted March 2, 2015 Moderators Posted March 2, 2015 (edited) Ahhhh, I just saw the $499 one. $11k is a BIT too much. Maybe the used one has 11k in bitcoins on it, or a map to pirate gold. Edited March 2, 2015 by AetherPirate
dragonshardz Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Why do you need a laptop? If you just want a small form-factor PC, you can build one for $500 which will handle Minecraft quite nicely and be far more powerful than a laptop at the same price point.

I don't need a gaming laptop. That was a joke.

TheBytemaster Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 Let me tell you about Poe's law... Fair enough. I'll be less subtle next time I make a stupid joke.
