On my multiplayer server I've been working on a quarry. I got the quarry item and have it placed with two red stone engines on either side of it. I've connected them to my windmills with copper cable. I get hardly any power and don't really know how to get it to have enough power to let it constantly run. Could anyone suggest some ways to get more power easily? I'm decently far along with diamonds and a philosophers stone etc.

Thanks!

windmills cannot power a quarry directly. you need an energy link to transfer EU to MJ for BC machines. and 2 redstone engines are a joke for it. Redstones alone you need about 20 to power 1 quarry. Otherwise feed 18 EU/t thru an energy link to the quarry.

Energy Link is a block from the mod Power Converters. It takes in EU (from ICĀ²) and outputs MJ (from BC) at a conversion rate of 5:2.

The Quarry is a block from Buildcraft, so it doesn't work directly with energy provided bei Industrialcraft. There needs to be a converter inbetween, like the Energy Link from Power Converters or an Electrical Engine from Forestry.

Btw... 18 EU? shouldn't it be 23 EU? I remember the Quarry to need 9 MJ for max speed (or was the Energy Link changed to a conversion rate of 2:1?).

Thats what it appeared to use when I tested it with solar panels. I put the link on the quarry and then a batbox and then used lv and basic panels to get a breakeven to show on the batbox. I always use the batbox now though to keep it from hiccuping when I have brownouts early in a game :)
