MaguzX Posted July 18, 2012 Share Posted July 18, 2012 I've notice in my time I've spent watching tekkit youtube videos there are still many people having a hard time to install and get this working for various reasons, Wether it be java or anti virus issues are anything. I would like to know if i could have permission to make a video tutorials on how to setup this awesome awesome mod pack so as many people as possible can enjoy it. MaguzX Posted July 18, 2012 Author Share Posted July 18, 2012 That's what i assumed as well, but the reason why i asked It because When i moneytized the video youtube responded asking me for sufficient permission to actually post the video giving it's content. The video included installation of technic launcher, java, BDcraft sphax and tekkit server installation. Maybe the problem is from java. Then again maybe youtube is just silly-pants. I really don't feel like I've got the authority to say if that's ok one way or the other. my reflex would be to say "do whatever", but I don't really speak for kaker on this kind of thing. I'm not concerned if i can't moneytize it's no big deal But i also wouldn't want to actually be violating some sort of rule that the mod makers or technic pack makers have set for making videos on that topic. My other videos that cover tekkit and installation are actually set to moneytized and approved, so perhaps it actually is the fact i visited the java website during the video, or once again maybe youtube is just silly-hats :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jakj Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 The Minecraft TOS (on minecraft.net) explicitly allows the placement of ads on YouTube videos of Minecraft, so it actually is legal. You can tell YouTube you have permission by pointing them to Minecraft's site. Now, I doubt YouTube will let you do it still, without being in some sort of group like The Game Station, because YouTube does have to cover its ass, and sometimes they cover it more than they need to. The idea that you have to ask us before making a youtube video is really silly, you can make whatever video you'd like, we don't care. Haha thing is I made and posted the video long before i asked for permission so i kind of did it backwards anyways lol. But thx for clearing stuff up.. im buggin youtube to tell me WTF @ the ineligability of the video now. the ONLY thing i can see it being is the fact i visited java during the video, but i highly doubt it.. well.. it was also the FIRST video i ever posted on that channel so perhaps youtube automatically checks ur first video more than others for security reasons or w.e Well with nothing to say on that topic, I'm not sure who the moderators for technic pack are but i wanna give a giant thanks for the time you guys take to make the best minecraft mod pack ever (also thanks to all the moders that code that awesome stuff)! I wanted it so badly that i actually baught the game to gain the premium account just to use the legit launcher you guys made and I havn't regreted it one bit! awesome awesome awesome stuff folks. If i had money to throw around i'd donate for sure!
