stringburka Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Would McEdit work with tekkit without ruining the world? Or are there some other world editor that works? I'm trying to create the spawn point for my server, and want to have a rather sizy airship that has collided with a jungle. The airship's done on a flatmap, and I want to insert it into the jungle rather. Is that possible? Thanks for any aid!
xtrasyn Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I think it depends if the material used is known to world edit. If you used wool, it will work; if you used buildcraft machinery for it it probably won't.
Torezu Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 If you can manage to select the entire airship without picking any of the blocks that would interfere with trees, you'll be fine. Otherwise, you'll be missing some tree sections.
stringburka Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 I managed to use WorldEdit to do it! First time I use the brush, but it worked decently well! Not done yet, but decent enough.
littleweseth Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 In my experience MCEdit will work on gnarly Redpower2 machinery which WorldEdit doesn't work on. My $0.02.

fratermalou Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Mc Edit turns some flower to lava, and some leaves to water, on tekkit, and on technic mc edit will turn a lot of block into thaumcraft taint block... i guess we need an "in game world editor" for tekkit and technic
Xylord Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 This is a big necro, but I think the subject is still valid, I found myself wanting MCEdit to work. What about WorldEdit?

benjensen102 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 would MCedit allow me to set spawn in tekkit and change mob spawners???
Forrust Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 create new chunks, just mark the newly created chunks to repop and then return to your world in tekkit, it will repopulate with all the ores, vulcano's, etc. be careful though, i just created a giant vulcano inside my base...
