OK, I firstly apologize for wasting peoples time. But after looking all over the net and getting no answer, I figure i best ask the experts.

Rubber Tree Saplings

HOW DO I USE THEM?

I planted 2 saplings and gave it roughly a minecraft week to grow and nothing.

I haven't found a simple explanation of the best methods to grow them, Is this just me or am i doing it wrong

There planted on grass next to water with at least 3 blocks space all ways

Depends on the saplings. The giant trees take a long ass while to grow, so chances are you simply didn't wait long enough.

The IC2 rubber trees grow like normal trees in the same amount of time.

I think the Redpower trees need something like 5x5 or 7x7 free blocks around them after going up 5 or 6 blocks. They get much wider at the top.

if the chunks aren't loaded time won't actually pass for those saplings (I think), so you may wish to add a chunkloading block.

They're the equivalent of getting a friend to idle there, so yeah.
