Mojang's Minecraft launcher now downloads with its own isolated slim JRE negating the need for a standard Java installation and Administrative privileges.

 

Does the Technic launcher/platform do something similar or do I need to install Java with it? It does.

 

How can I make it use Mojangs Java installation? Is there a file within the Jar I can modify to point it where to go?
