Morsemorta Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 So to put it simply my friend has a relatively poor computer, but he has always been able to run Minecraft. The only trouble he has ever had is the OpenGL mode/bad drivers error, but he figured out how to solve that and hasn't run into trouble in a while. Recently I got into Tekkit, and so he wanted to try it out. At first it didn't work for him, but I came over and solved the problem. He just needed to use the .jar version. Now here is where I believed the problem started, before I tried the .jar I suspected that he had multiple versions of Java and that that was causing the problem. Naturally I went in and deleted all his Java stuff, which he did have multiple of, and then I re-installed the latest Java. After fixing the issue by using the .jar file Tekkit would open but goes to a white screen before even reaching the Mojang screen. After I saw that happen I launched vanilla again and it said OpenGL/bad driver again. My friend tried his usual fixes, but they didn't work. So my question to you is what is going on here, and how can I fix it? But also, might I have deleted something else Java related that I shouldn't have, and now I still need to re-install it? Quote
spartanyanni Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 He is trying to. Jorcer, being a master hacker, knows what you need to do. Simply copy what you wrote, and post it in the tekkit bug report thread. On the frontpage of the forums, scroll down untill you see the tekkit board, and look for the ladybug with an orange shell, indicating the tekkit bug board. Simple enough? Quote

NightKev Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Why do you have random links to planetminecraft in your post that serve no purpose? This is very suspicious... Quote
Torezu Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Why do you have random links to planetminecraft in your post that serve no purpose? This is very suspicious... Removed, as with the other thread. I'm going to chalk it up to OP stupidity as well. Quote
Jorcer Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Removed, as with the other thread. I'm going to chalk it up to OP stupidity as well. But how can you accidentally link a page twice in the same post? Isn't that kind of difficult. Quote
Torezu Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 That would be if you double-post. The other one was closed already, I believe. Quote

I could maybe see one but how do you manage to get two links in there by accident? Is there a short cut for that on these forums? Quote

Is there a short cut for that on these forums? The smallish font and formatting leads me to believe that post was from a phone, or an odd browser. I'm guessing it added the links for whatever reason, and I would strongly advise the OP to check into ad-blocking or something to keep it from doing that. Quote
Jorcer Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 That makes sense. Still gave me a good laugh though. Quote
