matejdro Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 On our server we have Out of Memory issues. We are running Windows Server 2008 R2 with 4GB ram and java7 x64. We have 3gb allocated to the server (-Xmx3G -Xms3G). We have 2 normal worlds (using MultiVerse), each one have its own nether and one end (so 5 worlds total). Size of all worlds combined is around 200MB. Even when decompressed, I don't think it's nearly enough to fill up 3GB, even if whole world would be loaded at once. When server starts, there is a chance that MultiVerse will crash server right away with OutOfMemory error. But after several tries server loads fine. LagMeter reports around 2GB out of 3GB free. But after random amount of time, server will crash with OutOfMemory error. Any idea, what could be wrong? Quote
Piercy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 WorldEdit and WorldGuard have caused no end of issues on my server recently. Quote

Phuriousgeorge Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Xmx and xms afterwards, shouldnt that both be xmx? No.... have you opened the default launch.bat file ever? Also, have you opened your Task List to see how much memory the server uses on it's own? Also be sure it give it a little leeway. I'd suggest looking into how your server is handling things with VisualVM. I know it helped me understand what was going on. Quote
M-C Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Hmm, instead of 3G try to do 3072M , some people have this problem Quote
greedseed Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 that sould not make any difference. I do agree with the fact Xmx must be lower then Xms In our case we use Xmx5G and Xms25G we never even hit 7G but oke still its strange you can get AOM crashes take a look if you use immibs dimansional anchors Those have bin sturring a lot of dust. If you do delete the log it makes in the tekkit server root file. This will probebly be huge. And then in the config file of this mod disable all logging Quote
