Any good way to nerf quantum without having to remove it?

Quantum armor. For some reason literally makes people immortal and its power drain is low if any. I like to have a high tier armor in the game and its other effects are nice but immortality is not a balanced "feature"

Speaking of which. Does IC support a simple way to remove items from it? Couldn't find anything related to it in the config.

Does this do the job? It has a large variety of options you can choose to modify damage-related events.

You can kill someone by dropping them from a height of over 2500 blocks :P

Looks complicated. What about just a way to disable the chestplate from the game?

The chest plate can be disabled with several plugins that ban ownership and crafting of items, Noitem is an example.
