Can buildcraft machinery be powered by a ins copper cable from a batbox, or does there need to be a batbox right next to it ?

coming from a batbox on the side, up to the macerator, mac isnt receiving power, and batbox is fully charged.

thoughts ?

Can't see it, but are you outputting from the red side of the batbox? Everything else should be good with the setup.

Oh and macerators, batboxes and all the stuff with wires is IndustrialCraft2, the pipe stuff is Buildcraft. ;)

buildcraft machinery cannot be powered by cables OR batboxes. You need a thing called an energy link to vconvert between IC and BC power.

Obviously that's not what you meant to ask, but just thought I'd throw it in.

All IC2 energy storage boxes have multiple inputs, but only 1 output. The output is the side with the dot. I am not familiar with your texture pack, and cannot tell from your image if the wire is to the dot. I haven't actually used copper wire except in recipes, I normally use tin or glass fiber for minimal losses.
