the luacher will not load

Launcher Version: newest

Operating System: windows 7 home

Java Version: newest

Antivirus Program: avg internet

Description of Problem:

the problem is not working it stuck at the logo screen that says name it just sits there and does nothin so i let it run for 30 mins and still nothin.. it use to work a while ago and for a week i did not have internet on this computer but was still able to play offline but now with internet it does not wana load.. i have disable my avg.. i have uninstalled it and reinstalled the launcher and all the files.. i reinstalled java and move the java folder to the program folder so i has 2 java folders both are 64 bit.. i have watch youtube vidoes on people say a fix and i try and it does not work.. i must be missing some thing... btw if there is a post on this all ready i am sorry.. but i have use google and search i even went a page or 2 on the bugs side of this forum.. if there is a fix plz help

I am relieved that you are a girl, because if you were a guy with that profile pic I would back away very slowly...

I remembered something while taking my unnecessarily long shower. All of the men in my family had their favorite pictures of me at my wedding as their displayed pictures on whatever internet profile they had. At least for the 6 or so months following my wedding. ;)

Guys, I just know this fix worked for me and many other people. I am sorry that it is not always this way, but it seems that maybe it is a rare problem. I could link you some forums if you wish to see the truth in my words, but yes, I did have this problem, and yes, the fix I stated worked. I got it from another guy who it also worked for. I don't know why it did not work on java 7, and nobody else did either until I was told by multiple people to downgrade to java 6 and IT WORKED. The facts state though that it would NOT run on java 7 for reasons unknown. Many of my friends had the java 7 problem also. I had completely uninstalled all my antivirus and disabled the antivirus built into windows. Theoretically it should have worked. The only plausible solution was that it was the downgrade to java 6 that made it work. If you are so shortsighted not to believe me, then I am sorry for wasting your time. There was another fix that involved reinstalling your entire operating system. These both seem to be valid, but I suggest just trying mine Jag.

Downgrading to Java 6, while it may fix the problem temporarily, is not the ideal solution because you will be unable to handle some mods nor to host a Tekkit server with Java 6. Please review your installed programs to make sure you don't have more than 1 copy of Java installed, and go from there.

And, Mac OS kicks all of their butts.

NO! Linux is by far the best operating system of all (the only downfal being that most games are made for windows, and you need an emulator, so instead I have windows [for gaming] and Linux installed on my PC). And, fun fact, OSX (mac OS) is a Unix based operating system, just like Linux.

I know, I used Arch for a LONG while. Mac OS is my favorite by FAR. I have a PC setup running OSX and win.

hmm i downgrade bescue i hate windows7 so much lag so i went with windows xp hmm i delete the folder for java 6 do i still have to remove program... also is there a way to start tekkit with out the laucher and still have all the plugins or addon if so is it just clicking the .java or installing some thing
