Soddaminsane
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me figure out why my reactor is not producing power while it is running. I ran simulations and it is a MKII-3 reactor and works fine on SSP Below are images of the reactor layout and the readings, the redstone you see is inactive as that is the emergency shut off activated only when the reactor reaches 7500C Any help would be appreciated
gavjenks
2 thoughts: 1) If it isn't hooked up to anything that needs power, you won't read any EU. 2) In that screenshot above, your eu measuring device might be measuring EU in the alloy wire not the reactor... Depends how its coded whether it uses hitbox or not.
Soddaminsane
Its hooked up to an MFSU and it is not producing power either end and I did have think that so i tested the reactor chambers as well to no luck :c
gavjenks
Only thing I can think of it is your cable is missing a link, or if the MFSU is not oriented correctly (orange dot facing the input would make it not work), or if the MFSU is full. Soddaminsane
MFSU is empty and the orange dot not connected to anything :l its weird i checked all the cable and thats fine too
Northern Star
What you want to do, is fill the reactor chamber with nothing but Uranium Cells. That should fix the problem, if not, try breaking and replacing.

If he actually followed your advice, there would be a great big hole in this server. 2) your only supposed to troll stuid people who don't read the stickies. This person is asking why his reactor won't work, and has supplied pictures and a description of his problem. He is not submiting a bug report, so he doesn't have to follow the bug report guidelines. So unless yoir just a jerk, there is no reason to troll him like that.

Sometimes in servers, the stuff glitches and wont work. I had the exact same issue with a few geothermal generators.
hobby_boy
In the picture it looks like the red alloy wire going to the reactor is on. When a nuclear reactor gets a redstone signal, it doesn't run, ie not making eu. Try switching off the red alloy wire, then it will run.
Wendo
More pictures of how the reactor is connected to the MFSU might be useful here, also some more light :)
Soddaminsane
Thanks for the input guys, managed to find a solution, the redstone wire was not on but apparently the cable going to the mfsu was too long so by placing a HV transformer between them it started producing power :l
