technic launcher "has stopped working"

Launcher Version: Latest obviously.

Operating System: windows Vista Home premium

Java Version: 1.7.0_07

Antivirus Program: None.

Description of Problem:

When i try to open the .exe file, it says "technic launcher has stopped working" and the description reads: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Also I have tried the .Jar File and it works except for when i click login, it brings me that error message ^. I have also tried disabling my firewall/ allowing technic in. Also im not an idiot and i have the latest version of java downloaded and no antivirus, i use a program to periodically scan my system (which dosen't block anything without my knowing).

First off, your language is inappropriate: act like you're a nice person. Secondly, seriously, Vista? Upgrade to Windows 7.

Try to run the .jar file instead of the .exe file; sometimes that works. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling. And if that doesn't work... well throw your pc from the roof of a flat and get yourself a new one with Windows 7.

the "turn your name pink and/or ban you" kind of warnings, yes. it's not against the rules to point said rules out to people though.

I'd just like to confirm that I give many more fucks about viking hacker and ash than I do about you. just sayin'.

also, try reinstalling the launcher by deleting the .technicpack folder and redownloading everything. if that doesn't work, remove compact solars

No worries, the only hacker I can think of (besides you) is myself, and I'm a "take apart a program and mess around with it" hacker, not a "bypass security systems and screw with stuff" hacker.
