This one's an easy solution. Go to the folder with the .jar file in it, rightclick on the file, then select "Open With". It will bring up a menu of options to run the file with, choose "Java Platform". It should run right away.

Also, your operating system would be where you put the version of Windows you are running (XP, 7, whatever you are running, Mac if you are running on a mac.)

Perhaps you should get someone a little bit more knowledgeable with computers to help you out and post the rest of your system details because that is not nearly enough info for us to go on.

I got this:

I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”!

If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher.

While that might work, it will also likely either associate all zip files with Java (that is bad) or you would be forced to do that every time (also bad)

Umm, I told him to do that to the .jar file. If it's still a .zip he needs to file convert like you said.

He read the title, and first 4 sections of the bug report and was referring to OP sucking, at well, everything.

(Translation: low effort post)

I thought he meant me :( Tell him he almost hurt my feelings (he wouldn't like me when I am angry :dota101:)

He did. However:

No rules were broken. I was responding to two separate people in each of those posts ;) My record remains intact

What did Adam mean?

In your defense, you may not have known that the Reply button can be used more than once per post.
