Technic luanches fails to download lwjgl.jar, stuck ar 98%

Launcher Version: Just downloaded from this site

Operating System: Linux/Ubuntu 12.04.1

Java Version: Oracle JDK7

Antivirus Program: None

Description of Problem:

Lauancher downloads various bits and peices, get stuck at 98% of lwjgl.jar

Error Messages:

Are you sure that you aren't running any Antivirus Program(s)? The most common solution for this is to disable your firewall then try and download it again.

OK solved the problem.

I downloaded the failing files manually. Reason that works is because wget (command line downloader) doesn't time out as fast as the launcher does, and I think my hardware firewall virus scanner was delaying completing the download until it was able to fully scan the file.
