PatrickLikesMinecraft Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Let's say that the quality of recording is equal for either. Is it better to play in SSP, or is it better to setup a local server and do single player SMP? Quote
Lothos Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 it would really depend on what you're planning to show in the LP. Quote

bwillb Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 If you plan on playing with friends, obviously you want tekkit smp. If you plan on playing alone, technic ssp will give you more mods. Quote
Jay? Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Go with Tekkit. That way you can have guest players once in a while. Quote
Jorcer Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Go with Tekkit. That way you can have guest players once in a while. This is a great idea actually... You could even invite a few fans on every once in awhile (keep back ups) Quote

Jay? Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 SSP if you don't want grief. Or make a private server and don't just hand out the IP all over the place. Quote
bwillb Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Or make a private server and don't just hand out the IP all over the place. Whoa servers can be private? You just blew my frikken mind, man. Quote
CrypticCalamari Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Also might depend on the power of your machine. I'm creating a multiplayer adventure map and decided to record video of me doing so, because I want to get into this whole youtubes things, and whoa, definitely didn't make for a good experience running a local server, client and recording program all on the same machine.
