PatrickLikesMinecraft
Let's say that the quality of recording is equal for either. Is it better to play in SSP, or is it better to setup a local server and do single player SMP?
Lothos
it would really depend on what you're planning to show in the LP.

I'm wanting to keep my options as open as possible so I have the freedom to do multiple things.
bwillb
If you plan on playing with friends, obviously you want tekkit smp. If you plan on playing alone, technic ssp will give you more mods.
Jay?
Go with Tekkit. That way you can have guest players once in a while.
Jorcer
Go with Tekkit. That way you can have guest players once in a while. This is a great idea actually... You could even invite a few fans on every once in awhile (keep back ups)

CrypticCalamari
Also might depend on the power of your machine. I'm creating a multiplayer adventure map and decided to record video of me doing so, because I want to get into this whole youtubes things, and whoa, definitely didn't make for a good experience running a local server, client and recording program all on the same machine.
