Description of Problem:

Every time I try to download a modpack or vanilla minecraft, it goes with a error "Update Failed", it's only happening when I try to install a version of modpack with a version of MC 1.4.2, 1.3.2 and 1.3.1

I think the problem is: I am unable to download these files:

minecraft_1.4.4-1.4.2.patch

minecraft_1.4.4-1.3.2.patch

minecraft_1.4.4-1.3.1.patch

And a question... Did anyone of you, that are helping here, even tried to download these versions? And was it working?

I can download the 1.3.1 and 1.3.2, so it's something on your side. Looking at the log, its something wrong with either the launcher or the file servers.

FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Try Deleting Technic SSP folder :3 Works :3 backup ur saves, its an error, sorta like, just being unlucky, to fix, just delete technic ssp folder, like, u and ur friend ride a roller coaster, something goes wrong, he/she dies, u live, act of chance!

yay, i created more errors, now that the main prob is fixed, there are some sub issues, anyone interested in fixing minecraft.jar's core incompatibility errors with tekkit for meh! XD lol

EDIT::: nvm, no core errors, i misspoke, u just gotta reperform my process every time u launch technic :3 XD

the problemo is, when the launcher writes data collected from the update it just performed , SOME CODER... not naming names, created an error that would basically cause the launcher to confuse, contradict, and cave in on itself

also, technic might take 30 secs-2 minutes per launch, this is because its contradicting itself now, but ull be able to play. maybe this'll point out the devs problems!

hi im having the same problem technic will not update to 7.3.4/1.4.2 i have been look on the forms but nothing that works.

Antivirus Program: AVG but i disabled it for this

i conpleatly uninstalled and reinstalled Technic 6 times so far and so far nothing it will not get past updating jar

I get the same results as you - the 1.4.4-1.2.5 patch is fine, the others get me a 404 error. I also get a 404 when attempting a directory listing (which is odd - it should give a 5xx error). Did someone forget to throw them up, or maybe to set the permissions?

The front page is already full of bug reports for this issue. I decided to attempt to add information to the bug report which seemed to be the most thorough. That's not 'thread jacking' that's 'merging bug reports', which is a good thing when one is tracking bugs.

Finally, the root of the issue. It's the 1.4.4-1.4.2 patch not being present. Add it, and it will be fine.

Pretty sure the devs are aware and getting on to fixing it soon. I at least hope. I want to play me some yogbox.

The YogBox is no longer being updated AFAIK, so don't hold your breath.

So, how long will it take to upload these patches? Are there even people from technic that are looking through posts?

Anyone with a red name is a developer so yes they do read through the posts.

It's technic as a whole thats being affected, not just yogbox. I mean they will update the patch I hope.
