lets be honest now, bad decisions have been made on behalf of FTB and technic. and i think in the long run technic will be regretting those decisions a lot more than FTB.

banning slowpoke, for example, thats a fairly big mistake IMO. when you look at things like VoxelBox, that currently exists in both technic and FTB, allthough FTB is on 1.4.5 and technic has it on 1.2.5, this cant be good for the future of voxel in technic. the head dev or whatever also recently appeared on the alpha test server that the technic/FTB modders play on alongside people such as Direwolf20 and slowpoke.

i love the voxelpack, and if it was out of technic, that would be a very great shame :(

you have to wonder, the reasons for there being no voxelbox for 1.4 in tekkit, is tekkit really that slow at updating that it's taken this lonG? or have the voxelbox decided to sever ties and devote themselves to FTB?

if its the latter, it could have extremely detrimental consequences, you have to remember that ridgedog is basically in charge of voxel, and is also very heavily involved with yogscast, it just gives you things to think about really doesnt it? how big could that decision be?

Soothsayers looking into the future with their crystal gaze upon the stars prophesying doom is nothing new around these parts. It's really not a surprise considering KakerMix & CheapShot like to keep their business private instead of whoring out their relationships between themselves and other developers in public with complete and total strangers allowed to watch... that's how interweb STD's could be passed!

Anyway, I see some unfounded speculation and the poisonous "FTB vs Tekkit" mindset seeping in the OP.

The two facts you bring up aren't worth getting all paranoid over: Slowpoke (contrary to KakerMix and CheapShot) does a lot of business publicly, and got banned for violating rules.

At the end of the day we all want users to have more choices and more benefits from playing non-vanilla Minecraft. Wild speculation here: I'd imagine Voxelbox devs would appreciate this sentiment, and decide not to pull from either pack. :tinfoil: Conspiracy! Doom!
