Failed to login: Error

So I have a tekkit server with my friend and it worked fine yesterday when I opened it and suddenly today when we try to log it it says: Failed to login: Error

Suggestions? Thanks :)

Haha yeah my friend suggested that too but I know that he will probably somehow mess up the server so I don't trust him with it ;)

If its on normal and tekkit and everyone is getting same message it's going to be to do with something on there end rather than our end

Yep, getting the same error for Tekkit and Vanilla, both on the servers that use Tekkit 3.1.3 and 3.1.2. If I restart my pc, I (sometimes) can log in to a server, but eventually I get booted, and when I try to log back in I get the error

Same here. worked great last night. does not work today.

the log shows some kind of time warp last night saying time turned back.

Same problem here using Tekkit 3.1.3

I can log in rarely, but if I disconnect then I get "Failed to login: Error" and have to wait.

I've tried removing all not required plugins. Didn't work.

Tried restarting the server. Didn't work.

Tried a fresh shiny new server with a fresh shiny new client. Didn't work.

Tried cussing at it. Didn't work

Just seems random. /cry

Boom Solved. Save this link. its the twitter feed of the chap who looks after minecraft. As I thought is seems to be an issue with the login servers at minecraft.net

if you like me and have legit copys of minecraft and play on authenticated servers. this will be your problem. plonk your bums down and wait till its fixed.
