Pneumatic Tube Distribution

What do you use to distribute items 50/50 between Pneumatic pipes?

Nothing, just split the pipe and be sure both paths are an equal distance to the nearest chest/device. Not always will items split perfectly 50/50, but its generally pretty close.

Hmmm, well I suppose you could also pipe them into a chest, then use two transposers activated by the same pulse.

This is going to be horribly large but you could use an item detector to trigger a toggle latch which is in turn causing two inline transposers to restrict item flow.

Use 2 transposers on a single chest facing opposite directions off of a chest where the items are located. Use a latch beside it with 2 seperate wires and a timer leading into it.

You could also use a computer with wire on both sides, alternating the pulses.

I suggest using a BC pipe relay system if you can, where the tubes lead into a chest, and a redstone iron pipe is attatched, where when an item passes through, have it signal itself to switch pipe directions. Very tricky.

No matter what method you use, I would still use pneumatic tubes. A lot of problems on servers involve buildcraft, and they seem to lag the server sometimes. Not only this, pneu-tubes go much faster!

The way I was suggesting the tubes doesn't cause those problems. Only the players who don't know what they're doing end up with that, or those who get confused with their builds.
