Portforwarding won't go through

I'm running off of a linksys ea6400 and I've looked up everything under the sun on how to port forward this thing correctly, I've restarted my router after putting the port in, tried changing my ip, using a different port, and literally nothing will work. I think the firewall is blocking it or something but everything on my firewall for java platforms is enabled. I don't know what I've done wrong can someone please help?!
