How to post Images?

I'm sorry if this is a ridiculously stupid thing to ask but how do I upload a photo without linking to another website and posting a link? Just having the image in the post. Thanks for real responses.

You don't.

Upload your image to imgur.com and place your link inside image tags.

For example, this bit of code

Uhhh, dragon? Your image is broken. Imgur isn't necessarily the best site to use because it tries to link albums and that doesn't translate well in some cases.

Depends on how you link it. There's a thing called "Direct Link" when you upload to imgur, which is what contains the proper file.
