smexy912 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Want to start a lets play series with technic pack but dont know what a good program to record would be. Anyone got any advice on what i should use?
Niavmai Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Fraps is the only option really worth bothering with, IMO.
smexy912 Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Hm thats what i was thinking. Guess its time to shell out dat 30 dollars XD.
Cheap Shot Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 It's just what most people use. I'm sure there's other options.
DemonCrusher36 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Theres cheaper options then fraps, i have the "free" version. Also, camtasia is good to..

Revelator Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Quite a old list but; http://www.tacticalgamer.com/video-production/107997-game-recorders.html Mostly these days people tend to simply go for twitch + xsplit tho. Its a easy way to do things really.
freakachu Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 at one point long ago I tried to start a LP series, but gave up because it was too much work. however, I did a bunch of research and testing of various capture software and came upon a gem called dxtory. the reasons this program was the one I went with are multiple. -doesn't cap FPS at recording FPS -doesn't bog down the game while recording like fraps -can record 64-bit programs unlike gameclaw -can save game audio and mic audio as seperate tracks in the video, allowing easier volume adjusting/editing -can use all kinds of codecs -can actually double as a webcam that broadcasts your screen/game. useful for livestreaming -highly configurable, all kinds of options -doesn't fail randomly for no reason like fraps enjoys doing it's a but more expensive than fraps at 3600 yen or about $44 according to google. however it's worth every penny and is so much better than fraps.
