Removing Single Mod "Modpacks"

I hate it when people make single mod modpacks and upload them. They don't do any work at all, I think. I think there should be a report button where you can report these types of modpacks or copies of others. That's my opinion. Anyone else with me? They also get like 50+ likes sometimes. Examples:

And in some cases from that list (the-zepplin-modpack.1456) it's not as simple as drop mod in folder, there is a post somewhere else on the forums about zepplin, it alters wu.class so that would take more work than simple copying

Besides, Platform explicitly asks for Platform URLs to add new packs, so clearly some people want to put all of their packs in to one launcher, so it needs to be uploaded to platform

I see what you mean, but what if there was a feature to load individual mods (once the creators have accepted) using Solder API so that no one "copies" (in my opinion) and we still get the mods in our launcher. That would be a cool feature. It would also be pretty cool that using that, you could make modpacks easily out of the mods in that feature.

Also, I still think they should add a report feature for if anyone copies other people's modpacks or anything else like modpack empty or virus.

Well, if it gets likes, I guess it means it is in some way appreciated and useful to the community. In this regard, I don't see why they shouldn't be there.

I agree with Xylord. If people don't want it they won't vote for it. One of the examples you put up there (TerraFirmaCraft) is actually quite useful. TFC is a complete overhaul of Minecraft and getting any mods (even NEI and InvTweeks) can take some work. Just because a modpack only has one or two mods doesn't necessarily indicate a lack of work.

As you see, I understood what he said and but still suggested the report idea. I acknowledged what he said and accepted that he was right and I moved on. I think they should be there now but I still think it's copying a little bit. I just suggested a report button for modpacks. Please do look at everything before replying.

Word of advice: Statements such as that generally translate to "If you just actually look at the evidence you would fall in line behind me in perfect agreement. Since you aren't you're obviously not looking or are too stupid to understand. So shut up till you agree with me."

Whether you meant that or not, you're still trying to control the responses of others.

Now, as for a report button of "copy" modpacks. Well, I can't speak for the admins, but from my experience I can give you an educated guess. The chances are roughly between "Not bloody likely." and "Oh yeah, that's totally on our feature list. See, it's right after Ensuring All Modpacks Are Perfectly Legal In The Eyes Of Every 12 Year Old Armchair Lawyer That Trolls The Minecraft Forums."

I haven't copied, I just remade the pack, added some mods, fixed it and contacted all the owners of the mods in my pack for permission to include it in my pack.
