Benjamin Evans Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Hi, I'm looking to combine multiple Tekkit Lite worlds to create one giant server. I'm combining servers with another person in my area to save on expenses. I know that MCEdit is not compatible with Tekkit and I was wondering what other programs or methods were available to do this. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Ben Quote
Benjamin Evans Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 No one had any idea how to do this? I'm looking to do this merge soon and I could use some help. Quote
RalphRoberts Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I must admit this is the first time I have come across someone with this particular problem! Quote
okamikk Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 MCedit is compatible with tekkit lite worlds though... just the blocks will show up as "unused" but will be back to normal when you load it through tekkit lite Quote
Benjamin Evans Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 Awesome I'll give that a shot. I appreciate your help. Quote

Benjamin Evans Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Ok so I have an update on the merge. I used a newer version of MCEdit and I successfully merged the two worlds together. The only issue I have now is that for some reason when i copy over the old map to the new map all of the tekkit blocks are in the wrong orientation. So all the machines can't run correctly and all the blocks used with a handsaw are in the wrong orientation. Is there perhaps a file in the server folder that tells the game what way to orientate the blocks? If not is there any way you know how to fix this problem? Quote

Clawx207 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 What you can do is, if you have MCPCPlus installed on the server to load plugins and what not, you can add the world folder of the other server to the server directory, and add a plugin called multiverse. when you have all this set up, in game you do /mv import [worldname]. The two worlds will be in different dimmensions, and you would install add-on plugins to multiverse, such as multiverse-netherportals to teleport between the worlds. Other than that, MCEdit does not work extrememly well with many Forge servers. Quote
Benjamin Evans Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 Ok update time. I have successfully combined both of the world together using MCEdit. The issues with the orientation of the blocks was caused by me rotating the schematic of the world when I was combining together. I do however still have one issue remaining. In the past I have used VoxelSniper to make the world look natural and not like the world was simply copied and pasted. I tried installing VoxelSniper and BukkitForge but it won't let me edit blocks that are at a far distance, making it impossible to terraform properly. Does anyone know a solution to fix this or perhaps another mod that can be added to make the combined worlds look seamless? Quote
