jebus Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Hi I haven't played minecraft with 1.3 , and I've seen that now and again these pools of brown water appear. When I dive into them I get poisoned and most the times I die from the poison damage? What are these? are these specific for tekkit or are they a new vanilla feature?
Calvariae Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Sewage: http://tekkitlite.wikia.com/wiki/Sewage Pump it into a composter and get industrial fertilizer.
cerevox Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 If you are ever wondering what some unknown pool of fluid is, your best bet is to scoop it up in a bucket so you can see the name. But yes, probably sewage.
Teraku Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 You can always make a straw and drink the stuff. If you get sick, it's probably sewage or sludge.
jebus Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Good idea cerevox. You are right it's sewage. I was just wondering why are there pools out there. Is it because mobs create them? (the area is full of sheep)
Calvariae Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I could be wrong, but I believe sewage pools spawn naturally on world generation, however they don't form naturally afterwards. To get sewage from animals, you have to plop down a Sewage Collector.
Teraku Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 He mostly means how it got there, in-universe. I'm wondering the same thing. How did all that waste end up in specific locations?

I wondered that too, but I just assumed that pool was suppose to be the runoff from the area. As in the animals poop and the rain carries it down to a hole in the ground. Just speculation though.
