count_zero99uk Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi ive been working with liquiducts and am having issues. I have the buildcraft mining well over a lake of oil, this is hooked up to redstone conduits and a steamengine. Power is going to the mining well. But i cant seem to get the liquid out using liquiducts - or anything for that matter. Any advice or pointers to videos greatly recived.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 12, 2013 Discord Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 One uses a pump to pull liquids, not a mining well (which is used with a tank to make a pump).
notmeagain Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 you may need to switch on the liquiduct with a lever.
Timendainum Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 You need to set the liquiduct to output mode using the wrench. Then supply it with redstone power and it will output (and very fast). The Liquiducts are great once you get to know how they work.
CanVox Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 No you don't. Changing liquiduct mode is only necessary to PULL liquids from an internal tank. Machines that PUSH liquids out don't require a wrench or redstone signal, and the pump is one of those machines.
count_zero99uk Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 I seem to be getting a crash when i try to link Oil-Liquiducts to empty liquiducts.
Timendainum Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Oh, my bad, I see you are taking the output directly from the pump, not from a tank. It should flow out of the pump by itself. We usually just plop a liquid tesseract next to the pump, and an energy tesseract. And let em run!
