Stone Rhino Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I've followed the guide for assembling a modded server from scratch. However, it seems my 1.6.4 server doesnt want to start. It's complaining of launchwrapper not downloading. This is copy/paste directly from the command prompt shell.
SXScarecrow Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 If those core libraries do not download there is clearly something wrong with the internet connection at your end. Double check your firewall to see if Java is exempted, and ensure you have a stable connection. This is very bizarre; I've only ever seen fmllibs fail to download.
Stone Rhino Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 This is actually setup at my office. Im the IT manager and the department has its own private MC server which is internet accessible. I got this on my workstation as well with the same failure just running the core server and no files copied over yet. Could this be part of what mojang did and the reason why we had to get an update to the launcher? Going to try your 1.6.2 pre-built
Stone Rhino Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Yes, it looks like this is related to mojang's repository move.
SXScarecrow Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Yep, Technic just confirmed it. Mojang moved their repositories so the location of the libraries is now wrong. How irritating.
Valtrino Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 so this is a new problem correct? cuz i do remember my server starting before and now not at all
jwa1 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 If your server downloaded the libraries before, it should have no trouble starting.
Valtrino Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 If your server downloaded the libraries before, it should have no trouble starting. Ive since remade it cuz it had mod conflicts i never officially got it running
Stone Rhino Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Going to attempt to run it again. If it doesnt work, i will rip the libs out of some other pack.
Stone Rhino Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 confirmed. lib pointers are dead. 404. attempting to rip from mc vanilla.
Stone Rhino Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 No dice finding compatible libs and vanilla wont allow modding straight.
Valtrino Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 So...if we havent made a server yet...we are fu**** now?
Irmasterlol Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Several modpacks on the Platform also provide downloads for servers with their mods that contain the necessary libraries. You could nab them from one of those if you found one that matched the minecraft version you want to use.
weirleader Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 are these the ones you need? http://goo.gl/gkx9di
Stone Rhino Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 are these the ones you need? http://goo.gl/gkx9di Thank you, will check. Will get back to you if this is not correct. Hopefully this works with 1.6.4
Valtrino Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Keep me posted. Ive been waiting nearly a month now to play with my friends
