CaptainMaKSa
Please, update mods on tekkit lite, there are lots of new versions of mods!
planetguy
RedPower and IC2, both of which are critical pieces of Tekkit Lite, are dead and unstable in gameplay respectively. Since Minecraft 1.2.5, or maybe before, there hasn't been a modpack whose worlds have been compatible across Minecraft versions, so the chance of an update being made for Tekkit Lite is almost zero. Is it not possible just to update the mods my selfs ? atm me and a friend plays on a tekkit lite server he setup. When were the only on it there should be not problem updateing the addons on the server and clients. Iam on wrong on this ?
planetguy
The thing is, the original authors of both mods have vanished, so updating it will involve editing decompiled code. If you're a code god it's possible, but otherwise you're probably better off to restart with more modern mods.
Orillion
I just thought it was downloading the newer mods for client and server and then start to play again.
planetguy
That's how it works usually, but the authors of these key mods have given up modding, so there's nothing that works on modern Minecraft to download.
CaptainMaKSa
OK, but on Feed The Beast, Direwolf20 there is 1.6.4 version of MC, and there is IC2 but I'm not sure is there Red Power, I know that there is RedPower2 and IC2 on Feed The Beast Ultimate 1.4.7, but on newer versions of FTB there isn't RedPower2... Maybe his author stop Modding... It was really good mod with the Frames and Frame Motors, Water Pumps... I created building with elevator using RedPower2... I'm sad right now... Moderators Munaus Posted March 31, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2014 There is an "experimental" build of IC2 made by GregoriusT, developer of Gregtech. I heard it was a buggy mess. There is no updated Redpower since Eloraam left. There are many other mods that replaces Redpower, like ProjectRed and/or Redstone in Motion
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted April 1, 2014 Discord Moderator Share Posted April 1, 2014 IC2 Experimental works quite well in 1.6.4. I'm not getting into the should/shouldn't argument, but it does at least work. I've made posts about it before so won't duplicate that here. @CaptainMaKSa: Feel free to use my custom modpack called JacksonCraft and just delete the mods you don't want (there are a ton in there). http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/jacksoncraft.150290
