A few things wrong with this.

  1. You only need one thread. 3 threads is 2 too many.
  2. This is in the wrong section. Mods belong here, not modpacks. If you don't know the difference then you aren't ready to be attempting either.
  3. So... you want it to be fixed? What's wrong with it? What kind of error do you get?

For one thing, delete the cache folder, it is a waste of space and serves no purpose. Also, get rid of the minecraft.jar- distributing that is illegal.

You might want to consider distributing configuration files with your modpack.

Posted

First of all, in the bin folder, delete everything but your modpack.jar

Second of all, make sure your modpack is set to the right version.

Also, be more specific. "It doesn't work"? "It doesn't help!"

NEI and CodeChickenCore belong in the /mods/ folder, NOT the /coremods/ folder.

For some reason, however, once you fix this the modpack refused to load at all for me. Try fixing the above problem and let me know if it happens to you as well, or if it's just because I tried to edit the modpack manually.

You are renaming the mod files. There is no need to do this and it makes it a LOT harder to keep track of what versions of everything you have. What is the motivation for renaming them?

There is no "coremods" folder for 1.6.4 packs. Everything goes into "mods". The first thing I intended to try was just moving all the stuff in coremods over to mods. However, right at the top you have a "buildcraft.jar" and a "buildcraft-A-1.6.4-4.2.1.jar". Obviously this is a problem as one cannot have duplicates of the same mod.

"fml-universal-1.6.4-6.4.41.787.jar" probably doesn't belong anywhere at all. It should be removed.

You have mod versions which are all over the place. There are mod versions for Forge/MC 1.4.7, 1.5.2, and 1.6.4 all in the mods folder. Obviously, this won't work. Some mods, such as RedPower, have no newer versions than for 1.4.7 and alternatives must be obtained if you wish to preserve feature parity.

Some mods are not installed correctly at all. Millenaire, for instance, needs to be extracted out with files and folders placed correctly. There are instructions on installation inside the zip.

You have some mods partially installed. "Galacticraft-1.6.4-1.0.8.908.jar" is there, but you are missing Planets and Micdoodle8Core.

I do not wish to sound critical, but it looks like this is just a random collection of mod files tossed into one location with no regard for compatibility, Forge/MC versions or dependencies. I maintain a couple custom modpacks and run servers for both. I try to keep up to date on what mods are available and have bookmarks organized to let me hit the pertinent websites for most of them. It would take me hours to "fix" this pack by starting from scratch with the intention of duplicating most of the implied desire for mod features you seem to have collected.

@mewstrongo: I'm going to take the "teach a man to fish" stance here.

1) Every single problem I listed in my first post to you still applies. This is just a COMPLETELY different collection of mod files with the exact same problems.

2) However, you have even more problems. You now have core mods/libraries installed even though you have no mods which require them. In this case you have one that is old as dirt. Where did you even find these oooooold mod files?

Go back and re-read my first post. Apply everything you see there to the current instance of your pack archive. Keep doing this until you have a workable pack.

Yeah, that's a problem. He thinks he is ready, but quite demonstrably, he is not.

Here are a few problems in no particular order:

  • You have not heeded the advice from my posts in this thread. They say "third time's the charm" but I'm out after this. In just a couple minutes of looking at your pack I see at least 5 things I've mentioned that are still a problem. The fact that the problem mods are different than the ones before indicates that you are simply not paying any attention to detail.
  • With Pixelmon in your pack the thing is HUGE. At that size you'll blow out your Dropbox quota in no time flat.
  • New problem: you have two versions of NotEnoughItems. That never works.
  • New problem: The contents of your modpack zip are in a subfolder. Must be top level.
  • Your modpack.jar file has problems. 1) It is actually a RAR format file, not a ZIP format file. Must be ZIP. 2) You have all the contents in a subfolder. Must be top level inside the archive. 3) The contents of the archive look... off. There are files missing which I KNOW are in the Forge universal downloads so something is very wrong.

Best of luck. You are going to need it.

He's not going to understand any of that, I'll just link him the Modpack Suggestion page. Edited by Amaxter

Likely. I am all about "teaching a man to fish", but if the man is starting from a place where they couldn't tell a fish from a horse... ain't nobody got time fo dat.

Hey, I maintain a few Custom Packs. I'll take a look at your pack and see if I can fix it for you.

**Edit**There, All fixed. You had a few mods that were incompatible and a few mods that were out of date. I updated the ones I could however I had to remove Equivalent Exchange, Custom LAN Mod, Rei's Minimap

and PowerCrystalsCore because they were causing problems. Heres the link to the working modpack: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/110225014/modpacks/Mystical%20Creature%20Craft.zip
