How do I use the Xincgc Java argument with Big Dig?

First time poster here, so I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section.

So basically I am having huge memory leak problems with Big Dig. I did some research and discovered that it is possible to use a java argument "Xincgc" to fix the problem. It "garbage collects" routinely, and prevents Java from eating all my RAM. The problem is, I can only seem to find tutorials that are for bukkit servers or servers in general. I am trying to use this java argument through my single player Big Dig world and have no idea how to properly execute it using a BAT file. I would like to avoid having to use the server software if possible. Apparently this is a miracle fix and I would love to get it working, I'm sure the info would also benefit other users here as well!
