Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 7, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 7, 2014 You forgot to remove Optifine from your server mods folder. HHxVortex 1
JackBreezy Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) You forgot to remove Optifine from your server mods folder. I've been reading trough quite a few posts about this problem and I haven't been able to figure out what I've done wrong. My Modpack loads up as Vanilla. platform URL: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/microblock-chicken-modpack Upload File: https://copy.com/4jcjNLtLOXg0 I have fixed most of the ID conflicts with the mods. I've got the latest forge. Edited May 10, 2014 by JackBreezy

HHxVortex Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Heya again, my mate added some mods to my mudpack, and he changed it abit, I agreed with the mods he put in, but it don't work, I have tried loading it up but it wont load up Minecraft, I don't get a crashlog, only the forge file but I didn't think it would be worth copying all of that onto a pastebin?, its the same download link, would you please have alook? I have tried going through what you have said on here and added what I have needed for the mods, and fixes, they is no config files because I would like to get it fixed before I added these. Thank you
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 20, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 20, 2014 Oh dear lord, what have you done? Why did you rename every single mod and remove the version numbers? Your problem likely involves having OpenBlocks mod but not the dependency mod OpenModsLib (which the author clearly states is required RIGHT on the page where you download OpenBlocks). I hope this solves your problem(s). Unless you revert everthing back to the filenames as created by the mod authors I am done supporting this pack.
HHxVortex Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 Heya, I have redownloaded all the mods and also new ones, and removed some from my pack that would crash the game and or wouldn't work etc. I have tried to add everything I can that all the mods need like the Core mods etc and fixes and stuff. It wont open Minecraft it will just go back to the launcher here are the links you might need: Crash Report: http://pastebin.com/xgKyFkuG New link to add Modpack to launcher: http://technicpack.net/api/modpack.vortexcraftmp
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 29, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 29, 2014 You have included a version of Advanced Solar Panels for Forge/MC 1.6.2 and for the wrong version of IC2 Experimental. Get version 3.4.7 for IC2 Experimental from here: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&postID=27372 You have a large number of item ID conflicts in the default config files generated by the mods. You will need to resolve these and then include a full set of configs in the config folder in your modpack archive.
HHxVortex Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Thank you, I think I have fixed the idconflicts because it launches now Edited May 29, 2014 by HHxVortex
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 29, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 29, 2014 Just because it launches doesn't mean the conflicts are all gone. Block ID conflicts will crash the client. Item ID conflicts will fly under the radar until you try to make something and get the completely wrong item as the result, or break a machine and get something unexpected back. Check your ForgeModLoader client log for the word CONFLICT.
HHxVortex Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 I got a file called that had 2 id conflicts in it, I fixed them and then deleted the text file, I have searched for the [CONFLICT] but I cant find nothing, im using notepad++ and I have used it to search for them before so I know im doing it right, I even went through it just to make sure nothing, ForgeModLoader-client-0.log is what im looking at, I get this crash report http://pastebin.com/DRzp3Bi4
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 30, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 30, 2014 On the server or client? If it's the server that looks a lot like a "missed a client-only mod" error.
HHxVortex Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Client side, but it seems to launch now randomly, but the server wont start up at all, I cant really give you a file to look at because it doesn't make a crash folder, so here is a link to the server folder that I use to run the server. To see if you can find the errors and ill try fix them if I can. The server folder was the Tekkit server but changed it with my mods and configs in it, and also allows plugings https://www.dropbox.com/s/2babf8fgeoo6oaa/Tekkit_Server.zip Edited May 30, 2014 by HHxVortex
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 30, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 30, 2014 If you intend to make a server for your modpack then the client pack MUST have all the conflicts resolved and IDFixMinus removed. Until that happens you are just wasting your time trying to get a server up and running. You have some item ID conflicts which must be resolved before attempting to make the server. MystCraft did something "wrong" in their most recent update which is making the blocks throw a conflict even when there is no conflict. Ignore the MystCraft conflicts and the AM2 conflicts. The rest (ProjRed and Factorization) need attention. You really need to update your ProjectRed mod(s). There is a known problem with the version you have. You have BetterDungeons (Chocolate Quest) installed incorrectly. Open that zip file up and follow the instructions. You really, really should change the "I:block.hidden=473" to "I:block.hidden=0" in the railcraft.cfg to prevent problems with other mods and RailCraft. Once all these changes were made I was able to make a working server I could connect to with your client simply by removing REIMinimap from the server mods folder. The client must be about as perfect as it can be before making a server. If you do that you should have few problems.
HHxVortex Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 Ok I have updated to the latest Project Red, I have change the RailCraft block id to 0 "I:block.hidden=0", removed IDFixMinus, and Fixed the Chocolate Quest BetterDungeons I think, I have also fixed the conflicts I could find in the Factorization, that was conflicting with ProjectRed. I have saved the updates and reuploaded it to Dropbox to down load the mudpack again as the new updated one. I would like to know if they is any other problems with it so I can start to make the server. It does launch Minecraft when I run the mudpack. Also how do I find id conflicts easyer? instead of comparing the config files, and also if they is no [CONFLICT] lines in the ForgeLog thing. and how to know what to change them to?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 30, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted May 30, 2014 If there are no lines in the ForgeModLoader client log containing "CONFLICT" (without quotes) then you mostly likely have no ID conflicts. In order to know what to change IDs to you should go to your inventory, click Options in the bottom left, click Tools, change items/blocks to All and click Dump. This will make an items.csv file which lists all the IDs. Just pick an open range. Keep in mind that any worldgen blocks (trees, ores, resources, etc) must be <=4095. I'll look over the pack again as soon as I can.
HHxVortex Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 Ok that's great thank you, helped a lot just that little bit of advice, thank you, and ok mate thanks
HHxVortex Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I have checked my client side to see if they is any problems, and I cant find any, I have looked for ID conflicts with blocks and items and nope. and removed the client side mods from my server folder "REI Minimap" and I still cant run it. it unloads everything. My client single palyer works fine but server wont even start? ForgeModLoaderFile: http://www.dropbox.com/s/gdaiw4tor1r835m/ForgeModLoader-server-0.log
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 2, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted June 2, 2014 From your log: Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space You need to increase PermSize in your server startup command: -XX:PermSize=256m
HHxVortex Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Ok thank you, I saw that and I tried to put that same -XX thing into java not into the start up, thank you
HHxVortex Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) My game lanches, I have removed all the client side mods from the server but I still get a crash on server?, I have fixed all the conflicts etc and client side seems to be working fine http://pastebin.com/GnvWFViA Edited June 10, 2014 by HHxVortex
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 10, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted June 10, 2014 Each time we get to a new page in the thread please include a current link to your modpack/API URL so that I don't have to search through page after page of posts to get the correct URL. Client: Your client still has extra stuff in the bin folder. The bin folder should ONLY contain modpack.jar. You really need to update ProjectRed to the latest version. The version you have has known issues. Mods to remove from server mods folder: Damage Indicators NEI Addons NEI Plugins Optifine Rei's Minimap Making the above changes and remove the client only mods listed above allowed me to start a server and connect with your client.
HHxVortex Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Ok thank you, and yes I will add a new link to each new page for you, sorry about that, and thank you
