volderman Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) Hi, so well lately I've seen that the populations of a lot of Voltz servers has gone down. I'm just wondering if you guys think that Attack of the B-Team killed Voltz. I personally think yes. I never cared for Attack since it didn't have ICBM's. Also do you think Voltz will make a come back? Edited June 25, 2014 by volderman Quote
ImCoolYeah105 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 (edited) No, what killed voltz was the removal of mekansim. It was basically the center of the pack machine wise and when people heard they removed it they left without giving it another thought. What is really killing voltz is the Crackpack. It has mekansim along with a couple very popular magic mods that will obviously never be added into voltz (nor would anyone want magic in voltz...) UncleChester14 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 It's a matter of learning something new. Do I prefer Mekkanism, yes. The alternative, however, isn't really that bad. Quote
Reverendhongry Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 It really did feel like the pack was centered around Mekanism but having played on 3.1 for some time now I think the changes made are for the better. There are a lot of new options for power generation that are really specific to what resources you have available. Like the culinary generator for instance. If you have a huge farm and you're not eating all your product you can use the excess to make some electricity. The addition of chemistry is a lot of fun. I've had a great time exploring the chemical makeup of all sorts of things and synthesizing iron from netherrack is just plain neat. Through the miracle of safari nets, a sprinkler system, and a steady supply of oxygen I have an enclosed farm with tons of flowers, sheep, and cows ON MY SPACE STATION. I think if you just give it a chance the learning curve is not that bad and all of the major glitches that kept my last voltz server constantly down have been corrected. New voltz has my vote! Quote
mattsmithDW Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 i personally am waiting for voltz 3.x to become reccomended that would amazing! any got an ETA? Quote
djoveryde Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It's gone recommended but there's an issue currently with protection. They're investigating wether they need to roll back recommendation to 2.0.4 or not Quote
