So i've been looking for patch notes that might explain some of the issues i've noticed with this latest version of Tekkit...but since i'm either failing at searching, or it's not there, i thought i'd ask this community my questions and see what happens.

1) I noticed i can't make flour in a pulverizer anymore. I can, however, still use a grindstone. Is this intended functionality?

2) I created a rift blade, but i cannot hold right-click to open a pocket dimension. I'm not sure if they removed this functionality or rolled it into a hotkey or something.

3) I've noticed an unusually low amt of Gold / Silver in my worlds. This doesn't really bother me, as i can come across these easy enough (albeit time consuming)...but did they also lower the spawn rate of these materials?

...Thanks for reading and answers!

P.S. - I put this in the wrong forum, so this is technically a duplicate post. Sorry.

I can't remember when each of these have been different. To which older version are you comparing?

We had quite substantial changes with the Tekkit 1.2 transition, which raised the base game to 1.6.4.

I've been current for at least the past 6 months, but i've only just noticed these changes with the latest version change. In fact, the Rift Blade issue i only just noticed yesterday, because i was going to create a bunch of rifts to help spawn Enderman for a pearl farm, and i was unable to do so.

The Flour and rarity of the metals are minor enough that i simply ignored them and moved on in the past, but i figured if i'm asking questions, i may as well ask them all.

Ore generation has been like it is for a while, although several people noticed rare metals becoming even rarer a few versions back. Probably a side effect of the rather opulent amount of Galacticraft Copper and Tin Ores. It makes early game more challenging, but once you have a Pulverizer running, the bonus dusts should compensate at least for the Gold.

About Flour, I only dimly remember it. TE3 probably dropped it, and the Grindstone has its very own dusts, so it simply remained there. The primary field food should be Baked Potatoes anyway. Or Apples from an oak auto-farm. Or Cooked Fish from an MFR Fisher. Or Meat Ingots, once you have your MFR farming chain running.

About the Rift Blade, no idea. I never had one.

Yeah...all plans i have for later in the game.

I've not found any potatoes yet, the ore thing was mostly a curiosity... i've got about 10 stacks of dust for all the common ores already.

The rift blade (and dimensions in general) are just fun... and useful. I hate not having an ender chest, and trying to hunt down endermen in the middle of an ocean biome is quite difficult.

Ender Pearls can be obtained with >EE3. You can start with as little as a 32 Gold Ingots, craft them into 8 pairs of Gold Boots and calcinate those for Minium dusts. The rest is alchemy.

If you're lucky, you will find Ender Lily Seeds in dungeon chests. Once you place those on End Stone (infuse Sandstone with Resonant Ender in a Fluid Transposer), you can just grow more pearls. They also grow in soil, but take forever to mature there.

I'm trying to avoid EE. I played back when i could create everything with EE and when i had automated HV solar factories and energy collectors creating MK3's, i got a bit burnt out.

I DO have ender lily seeds, so i'll try making some end stone and growing some. I like that. Of course, getting the resonant ender in the first place will still be challenging. I have, i think 1 pearl to my name. haha.

That's good. I mean, dont' get me wrong - at first it was great... but then when you realize you basically don't have to do anything but sit there and wait, it just got meh.

about the rift blade - it will only make a dimensional door (and a one-use door at that) if there is already a rift at that location.  it won't make a rift.

That's disappointing. It used to make a pocket dimension and leave behind a rift. Had i known that, i'd have made 2 rift signatures instead and done my ender farm that way.

Oh well, live and learn.
