  1. Heh no need for credit, i posted it so that others might be inspired to give it a go. It is a bit less impressive when actually operational - when everything is running, you will just see saplings planted for 99% of the time, and then occasionally a tree will grow and immediately be cut by the harvester. And yes, collecting them all does take time. No easy way around it, just gotta catch em all. Luckily they are pretty easy to see when you're flying around with a jetpack. Bonemeal does work - I used it early on when the farm wasn't completed but I needed a bunch of red and blue dyes for logistics pipes upgrades iirc. Not sure if you can use that with the MFR fertilizer or if you'd have to use some kind of a dispenser setup (as again, I dont use fertilizer). As far as why they're not growing, I'm not sure. Shouldnt be any issues with blockage, but you can bonemeal it just to make sure. Other than that, I've never tried a planter with trees and produce all in one, so maybe there's something about that it doesn't like? Try one with just a tree in it. (and a cobblestone upgrade to limit to 1 block)
  2. Actually I believe you're thinking of the Assembly Table, which is actually a different but similar block. I have never built the Advanced Crafting Table myself, but the only possible advantage I can imagine is speed. The Autocrafting Table has one speed, and it's a fairly slow speed at that. If you point enough lasers at the Advanced Crafting Table, I'd imagine it does the same thing, but faster (at the cost of energy).
  3. Yes, they should work just fine. I don't believe that water has any effect on trees, and personally dont use fertilizer so no comment on that part. mine grow at a typical rate, at least when I provide power to it. proof: my tree farm:
  4. about the rift blade - it will only make a dimensional door (and a one-use door at that) if there is already a rift at that location. it won't make a rift.
  5. basically, no. i'd recommend keeping your stock all as the same type, and autocrafting anything you happen to obtain of the wrong type into the right type, using the unifier: http://wiki.technicpack.net/Unifier. that way you only have to make 1 recipe.
  6. I like this thread! Unfortunately, I haven't taken the time to pretty up most of my machines just yet. However, this is something I always like to do: Name: Zimek's Totally Awesome Rainbow of Leafy-Sheepiness Purpose of construction: Why, it provides me with 'dye' in the form of saplings. Also, less importantly, wool and wood. How it works: MFR Harvesters and planters hooked up with Logistics Pipes via a Tesseract. Basic stuff. Storage chamber is Crystal Chests and more Logistics Pipes. What I especially like about it: I just like it because it's easy to make, pretty, and somewhat useful. I also thought it would be something most people might not have done before. Results go here: Not the most high-tech system, but again I thought it might be something that not too many people do. Hope you like it!
  7. if you want to be able to request from literally anywhere, logistics pipes is the only way to go. all you need is a remote order pipe on a ender chest, like you said, with a synced remote orderer and ender pouch in your inventory. that will allow you to access your entire system from absolutely anywhere (assuming it's all connected correctly at home). Add in another ender chest - pouch combination with an extractor pipe attached to that chest, and you have a way to put items back into your storage from anywhere, meaning you never have to run out of bag space.
  8. they're fine, they just dont do well if you're trying to power thermal expansion machines. you can run a quarry off a solar array, or your MFR farm no problem
  9. Based on everything I've heard, the oil should eventually deplete if it's being pumped correctly. Personally, though, I just block over it to get rid of it.
  10. to my knowledge, there is currently no way to craft blaze rods. you can, of course, craft blaze powder though.
  11. you can just fly around the nether and pick up all the nether redstone you need. nether redstone -> redstone block -> cinnabar + ferrous (which you should really have plenty of) = shiny
  12. here's the best vid i've seen on the topic: And tesseracts really aren't that hard. all you really need is shiny - 2 shiny makes 2 tesseracts, and then you're set. (of course, I'd prefer to use my first 4 shiny on a jetpack instead of tesseracts, as that makes getting additional shiny very easy)
  13. It would definitely be mfr that does it, because the galacticraft solar panels definitely don't, even if you try to pass them thru conduits
  14. Yep, this should be possible. You should be able to do about the same thing with biofuel instead of solar if you wanted to as well. I added on an external mod so I could convert MJ to RF - nobody says you have to stick with just tekkit, unless you're playing on someone else's server I suppose.
  15. well first let's be clear, there is no 'last thingy'. there is always more to do anyhow, personally I use buildcraft pipes instead of liquiducts, but i'd think it should be the same in both cases. all you really need is a place for both to go - just a standard tank for each should be fine. just hook up the pipes to both tanks, and then if any sewage gets in the mob essence tank, destroy it and place it again. once you get the right liquids in both tanks, everything should run smoothly, at least until one of the tanks fills up. Eventually you can upgrade to use logistics pipes or ME, and the liquids will just automatically go to the right place in your storage.
