Giblet04 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Hello my fellow players, I'd just like to say thanks before we start for taking the time to read this. Now, as the title suggests, I've been thinking a lot lately, and I thought to myself that, instead of constantly searching for a mod-pack with certain things I'm looking for, maybe I'll take the time to learn a bit and put one together myself. Now, regarding this, I only say this because I've been playing this game for quite a bit of time now, and no matter what I do, I always feel as if I'm missing out on a lot of fun by limiting myself to these packs created by others. I've dealt with this for a long time, and I've decided to make a change to that lifestyle. Therefore, I'm beginning here, on Technic, to get some help from some people who may have the time for it. Any who, to get on with this and stop wasting your time, I'll get to the point. I'm a Noob. When it comes to things like this, I could honestly know less. However, everyone starts somewhere, and this might not be as hard as I'm making it out to be, which is why I'd like someone with the time and the want to help someone like me...to help someone like me. :3. Ok, moving on, since you know why I'm here, I'd like to put in a bit more about what it is I'm trying to ultimately achieve. In the end, what I want is to create my own minecraft environment. To give you an example of what it is I have in mind, take a look at hexxit. Hexxit is an absolutely wonderful mod-pack full of adventure and awe. However, it also provides some beautiful scenery and land to create the warmest of homes and lodgings. The latter of which I just said has always taken priority, no matter what mod-pack I play. Still, even though I love hexxit, certain aspects of it drive me away, and in the end, I find myself thinking that I can create something even more wonderful for myself, and, if they so choose, friends as well. Now, to wrap this up, if you don't have the time and patience to help me, I can understand. I'm sure you've all seen this kind of post before, but If you'd consider it, I'd be mighty appreciative. It'd bring a lot of enjoyment to this already enjoyable game, and I'd feel as if I'd reached my goal. Finally, if it comes down to it, I'd really do just about anything I'd need to to get this ordeal to work out. Being rather shy myself, I don't much like Skype or anything like that, especially when it comes down to people I don't know, but if it's something that will help me accomplish my goal, I'm willing to use it and whatever other resources I might have available. So, regarding that, if having any info like that will make it easier to help me, I'm all for it. To put this essay to an end, I'd like to mention lastly that I'm just a 14 year old kid who would like to have some self-earned enjoyment for a little while, so please, bear with me and try to be open minded. Thanks, and you all have a good day. Edited August 7, 2014 by Giblet04
FirefightGI Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Youtube has full guides aswell, also why not just add/remove mods you like and dislike from packs? personalize it that way?
