Backplague
There is nothing we can do unless you provide us with your OS, Java version, server and Tekkit version, a description of your problem, the crash message, the crash log and use the bug report format in the right forum: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,2797.0.html Oh and get a harpoon, you might be in the whale box soon. Backplague
Ask your friend about the crash message and log, the log can be found at %AppData%/.techniclauncher/logs/launcher_0.log. How exactly your friend cannot join? The server is not found or the server rejects connection?
DragnHntr
I'm guessing the video neglected to tell you how to port forward or find your external IP.

zergdog
Different for every router here a website that may help you. http://portforward.com/
Yuriy
Search port forwarding and your router model number...you'll probably find something very specific. Programs also exist to log into your router and do it for you but you should really learn to do it yourself. Forward the port to your internal network IP or computer name (the latter is preferable). Give your friend the external IP Just google My IP.
