Etumpxstealthx
An addition to build craft pipes in which they would be able to teleport items from the nether to the overworld and vice versa. Energy, waterproof, regular the whole shebang
jakj
Not possible without rewriting a third of Minecraft itself. Maybe in 1.3, because SMP can do this while SSP cannot.
Neowulf
What about a set of pipes that records input events to a list, with the relevant data and time between events. Then the output pipe will pull the first entry from the list, send it out, and sleep for however long it was between items. Toggle the output pipe with a redstone signal. Not realtime, but it would be an interesting solution to the problem. And you could use it to create an inventory storage loop, with a CC computer to track the inventory. Though until 1.3 arrives it's not really worth pursuing.
jakj
No, just use ender chests if your clever programming idea is just a different implementation of deferral. I'm all for different ways of doing things, but you won't find anyone willing to spend the time programming that with ender chests already done. Neowulf
Well, ender chests don't do liquids or power, and have a very limited inventory. And like I said, not worth it until 1.3 arrives and we know if keeping the nether loaded will be possible.
saintnicster
Well, ender chests don't do liquids or power, and have a very limited inventory. And like I said, not worth it until 1.3 arrives and we know if keeping the nether loaded will be possible. Lava cells stack, and can go right into a geothermal generator, from what I remember. As far as power itself, you could just pump the energy into batteries. Granted, they don't stack, but what you could do is have the Ender Chest only function as a buffer between the two worlds. Extract the desired items from the chest as soon as possible and store them in an Iron/Gold/Silver/Diamond/Alchemical chest.
faloosh
what if we use enderchests to transfer the items using pipe systems in the nether enderchest and in overworld we set up another enderchest to make it easier with pipes transfering items by setting up two chests both worlds so simple just craft a enderchest nice solution
jakj
Why in the fuck did you triple-post in a two-month-old thread? Especially when your contribution is known amongst our little community in such a widespread manner that it falls under the heading of "no shit, sherlock".
