cannot get block breaker to work 3.0.4

Description of Problem: i set up the blockbreakers with snow golems on top so i can make a ice compression unit, i have redstone tube going to each output with an alternating current so that its constantly making snowballs, the problem is there not working, the redstone tube blinks but the block breakers don't do anything. I was having problems with the quarry earlier and fixed it by oping buildcraft's virtual user and think maybe its the same thing going on here. but i have no idea of the name of the virtual user for the blockbreakers, please help =(

I think Snowman snow generation was changed in one of the updates, they only generate snow after moving a few tiles or some shit, or possibly tied to biome.

If you /op [Redpower], it should work. Snowmen disappear in the rain and jungle biomes however @above. I've created a snow generator in my server and it seems to work fine. As long as the tubes are linked to the output of the block breakers, the input of the receiving machine, a redstone input is there and [Redpower] is opped, all should work.

i think it doesnt work because the snowman is standing IN the block you want to break.

try to place a sign and then put in the snowman. also, a picture would help :/
