  1. Yes. You can probably get away with running it from 2 different locations without the launcher.
  2. you download the 3.1.2 server from the http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/ page
  3. There is ALWAYS an error log. Read the stickies and it'll tell you where to find it.
  4. How much RAM is in your computer? And can you post what's in your batch file.
  5. Are you doing this on a server? Check the bug section at the bottom here http://thetekkit.wikia.com/wiki/Nether_Ores
  6. Please provide the error log from your tekkit folder so we can see what is happening. With the information we got from you, it could be 1 of 100 things...
  7. If you're getting an error because you cannot reserve enough RAM, it's because you don't have enough RAM. To get around this restriction, you add more RAM.
  8. Don't think of things as in seconds at all. 32eu/t is 32eu/t If you're using a crappy computer or server, 20 ticks isn't always 1 second. straight form the wiki "EU/t means Energy unit per tick. If the computer or server is able to handle all ingame calculations, the game will operate at about 20 ticks per second. If this is not the case, the clockrate will drop significantly and you will notice ingame time slowdown. If the clockrate is 10, a second in game will last as long as 2 IRL seconds."
  9. open your tekkit mod folder once C:\Users\"UserName"\%AppData%\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkit\mods do you have 2 copies of tubestuff in there? because you shouldn't.
  10. just so you know, you posted this in the Tekkit bug report forum, next time post in Technic for Technic bugs. But you're using Java 6, update to Java 7, then try running it again.
  11. I also love how at least 15 times in the past 48 hours he told people in the Tekkit forums to solve their problems, update to 3.1.3, the Latest build. Yet in the Technice forums he say "Playing with a dev build is like playing with fire" to everyone... which is also the latest build... /sigh...
  12. open inventory, open the options part, click on recipe mode until it goes to cheat mode. If you're on a server, which it sounds like you are. 99% chance it's disabled on server and you can't just cheat.
  13. Wrong forum. You need the bug report forum. But... if it's asking you for mods, you're not using the same version of Tekkit that your server is. In the launcher, click options and manually select the build that your server is using.
  14. If it's asking you for mods, then you are not using the same version of Tekkit as your server. Your server probably got updated to 3.1.3, but you have to manually update your client. Verify which version the server is using. Load up the launcher and click options. Click the button for manual build selection, then in the drop down menu, select the same version that your server is using.
  15. Do NOT update to 3.1.3... That will not solve this problem. Stick to the recommended build unless you want to deal with all the current bugs in 3.1.3...
  16. No. Try updating your Java. Chances are you're using an older version. If that doesn't work, head over to the tekkit bug report forums and make a report so we can get more info out of you.
  17. ok, first of us, I know this is your first day here, but really? You've been posting incorrect information to people all day in these forums. Not helping them at all. You just told this person to delete his Tekkit folder, thus deleting any world and backups he had without even warning him that that would happen. And that's not even how you solve his issue... It's not a Tekkit issue, deleting the tekkit folder won't do a damn thing. It's a launcher problem. There are bug report forums here for each thing. Launcher, Technic, and Tekkit. The correct place to go would be http://forums.technicpack.net/forums/technic-launcher-bugs-problems.10/ Once there, read the common problems and solutions, if that doesn't work, you can create a bug report. I would put my money on all you have to do is turn off your antivirus program then try again. But if not, place a bug report there, that way we'll be able to get an error log and all the information we need to help you.
  18. I would give you an answer, but you didn't ask a question for me to respond to at all. As for the recipes, yes, they are not included in that version of IC2 or NEI or whatever. You just have to wait for those mods to be updated.
  19. Can you post the error log from your client so we can see why you aren't connecting? What you posted doesn't help at all.

    Help?

This may be off topic, but then again I'm not sure there's a topic in this thread really. But I love the attitude of the guys in here. You make the forums fun as hell.
  21. You do know that not one person on this website is involved in creating these mods or fixing mod related bugs, right? If you want it solved that badly, maybe you should bring it to the attention of the people who actually make that mod. I am also confused about the last 3 sentences that I quoted. Have you stopped playing forever, or are you still waiting around with your finger up your ass? Kinda contradicting yourself there buddy. I'm going to stop playing this game forever! But in the meantime, I'll just shove my finger up my ass and wait for a bugfix.
  22. So you're having the same problem with your server that you're running on OSX that isn't really a server that isn't really on OSX? /facepalm Head to the bug report forums and open your own thread instead of posting on really old threads with problems not related to the OP's problem...

    Java errors

ok, well if it is your server that is having Java issues, can you please post the error from your server? That error posted was from the Tekkit Client. What Error is the server getting?
  24. for the battery, you're probably looking at the wrong one. If you found it by looking at another recipe, it wont show it. Search for battery, and you'll see 3 re-batteries. You can find the recipe on the one without a charge bar. Not sure what's up with the solar panel though...

    Java errors

How much memory do you have allocated to Tekkit? You can check by opening the launcher and clicking options. edit: I think it's set to 1gb, drop it to 512MB once and let me know.
