  1. Don't want to repeat it, nothing really important to me anyway. Anyway, the RC is for 1.5.2. So What's the point of release a release candidate for an older version when you want to wait for another MC version? Then pull the RC and say that all updates will be 1.6 and forward.
  2. I agree with all of you. Seriously. I wonder if Tekkit just has to few mods to tinker with. - I have a MFR farm for animals and plans. I use the animals for food and leather for books for Mystcraft. - I mine in Mystcraft with quarry's and use the plants for my biofuel reactor. As I am using lava with liquid tesseracts and a Steve's Carts cart (with a tree cutter and turning the wood into charcoal) for power generation which I hold in redstone energy cells. - I am wearing a full powersuit set with jet capability, which is created with AE. - Got a dimensional door the the closest village (2km away :'( ) - I have been to the moon, and got cheese. This all within a month of evening playing. Now I am just tweaking and tinkering. Am I forgetting something important? I don't know much about which mod's are allowed in this pack, but things like Tinkers Construct or Forrestry (bees?) or whatever just makes it that more challenging. Don't get me wrong, I love the pack and have played it with much pleasure, but I am getting bored quickly now.
  3. Are there many bugs left in 1.1.5? It's been over a month now and I'm wondering when they plan on releasing it. I have a feeling they want to iron out everything due to the big dig fiasco?
  4. The only thing I can think of is that when the tank fills, the autarchic facet of the gate pulses one more time somehow. This in turn pumps liquid into the pipe, fulfilling the second condition. Maybe you can check with a redstone dust trail? That ór there is something else in your system that gives a redstone current/pulse, but from your text I guess this is not the case; just stated for completeness. I know Misc Peripherals has a Gate Reader which can (at least for RedStone energy cells) read the status of some things; maybe tanks as well. The thing is, I don't know if Tekkit has MP. It does have 'Open Peripheral' in the latest version (1.1.1) but I don't know if that has something like a gate reader... All in all, I don't think I can be of much help :(
  5. I have been playing with PRC as well. My solution to this question is: North side out: Rednet Cable -> Redstone Repeater -> redstone dust -> Redstone repeater -> Rednet Cable: East side in. (ofc. side outputs are randomly chosen, it could be any side of the Controller as long as both are not the same ) Red Repeaters could be more in a serial chain and set to any chosen duration setting. Very important note: Only one repeater won't work for some reason. Use the repeater -> redstone -> repeater principle! Source of this bridge, click here.
  6. I'm very interested to steal (read: use) this design as well. So that's why I want to bump this post!
  7. I'm really interested in what you hard disk is doing! Your screenshot tells us it 29% busy (that's a lot in my book, especially on (probably) 4200 rpm hard disks), but it's not busy with MC as far as I can tell. Also keep in mind that that 40% is 40% over both processor cores. That's around 90% on one core. As for the 0.77 GHz, maybe get to reading your manual and look in you BIOS to set all powersaving settings to none/off! (And those in Windows as well)
  8. If necessary, update Java to version 7, latest update. Next up, download the newest Tekkit client. Then right-click the tekkit client and choose 'Run as Administrator' if available. (As said above) The very last thing you _could_ try is copying the .technic folder from %appdata%\.technic, from your to her computer. (backup, backup, backup!!)
  9. Start with: Where to build a 'base'; What is your goal mid-game? Space base? Quarry/huge factory? If it's a space base, go for a small to medium powerplant with steam engines and maybe look at biofuel generators later. Then use a redstone energy cell to capture the power and use redstone energy conduit for power transfer. After that, use a quarry to mine, or just branch-mine for a lot of iron. Also you need some oil and a refinery to convert that into fuel. If it's a quarry/huge factory, go for magmatic engines and use the nether as a lava source. After this, make 3 landmarks and build a huge quarry. If you're epic you do this in the nether ;-) In any case, use MFR (Mine Factory Reloaded) or Steve's Carts 2 for planting wheat for bread, or MFR's breeder for meat. And whatever engines you use, try to figure out with rednet/gates (assembly table & laser's) how to only enable your engines when the redstone energy cell is not full. This should get you going ;-) After this, there is (stable) Mystcraft worlds (to quarry in), (Epic) Modular Power Suits, the End, Wither etc.
  10. Also depends on what you have built. A lot of pipes with items flowing through will lag A LOT. If you would use AE instead it would reduce lag significantly. Besides, is this a laptop or desktop? You said computer, but if that means a laptop... Laptop's won't run MC unless its a monster from what I've seen in the wild. Try to play and open Task Manager and see what the CPU usage is. Besides, what Java version is installed? (I guess 7, but if it's not, install the latest!)
  11. I have this, but with Steve's Carts 2 instead of MFR planter/harvester. Then I noticed a change in Steve's Carts (against Tekkit Lite) that the tree-chop module (whatever it's called) now has durability and require diamond to fix... So you can go a very long way, but will stop in the long run unless fixed every so often.
  12. I don't really care for TC, but Natura is not really tech-related, low or high, in my opinion. It's just adds a lot of great looking visual candy to the world. How the world looks is, I think, just as exciting and overall cool as creating huge factories or traveling to other planets. berries and a lot of new trees in the world seems just relaxing to walk through, not? I think Tekkit is great in it's design, and adding Natura would make it much better in my humble opinion ;-)
  13. The only two things I like to know and really care about are two things: Will it be bugfixed much? (Or maybe even more then updated?) Will it not be replaced as fast as Tekkit Lite?
  14. I had this problem as well a while ago. I fixed it by simply closing the launcher/Minecraft and started it up again. This I repeated as much as needed. (2 or 3 times) then it went well. This has to do something with (I think) a timeout or something in the automatic downloading mechanism of the Tekkit launcher.
  15. First of all, thanks for trying to help all of you!! I read somewhere this had to do with the 'leak detection thingy', but I can't seem to find this post anymore :s Now I have the same problem as CleverBullet. The server worked good, more or less, but since the upgrade to 0.6.5 I have to restart the server every day/couple of hours as well... It crashes every day with -Xmx and -Xms options set to 1024M. Without these options the server doesn't seem to crash anymore, but just lags very badly to poor memory usage. (And using 64-bit java instead of 32-bit java doesn't seem to make a difference) For crash log lovers the first piece of the log here: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Why is it breaking Time: 27-4-13 1:44 Description: Exception in server tick loop java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at java.util.HashMap.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.util.HashMap.<init>(Unknown Source) at bq.<init>(SourceFile:12) at buildcraft.transport.PipeTransportLiquids.writeToNBT(PipeTransportLiquids.java:329) at buildcraft.transport.Pipe.writeToNBT(Pipe.java:194) at buildcraft.transport.TileGenericPipe.b(TileGenericPipe.java:104) at aam.a(AnvilChunkLoader.java:311) at aam.a(AnvilChunkLoader.java:127) at im.b(ChunkProviderServer.java:232) at im.a(ChunkProviderServer.java:284) at in.a(WorldServer.java:844) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.a(MinecraftServer.java:373) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.q(MinecraftServer.java:605) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:497) at fy.run(SourceFile:849) A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- System Details -- Details: Minecraft Version: 1.4.7 Operating System: Windows Server 2012 (amd64) version 6.2 Java Version: 1.7.0_21, Oracle Corporation Java VM Version: Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Oracle Corporation Memory: 14028456 bytes (13 MB) / 1041235968 bytes (993 MB) up to 1041235968 bytes (993 MB) JVM Flags: 2 total; -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M AABB Pool Size: 1494 (83664 bytes; 0 MB) allocated, 1409 (78904 bytes; 0 MB) used Suspicious classes: FML and Forge are installed IntCache: cache: 0, tcache: 0, allocated: 3, tallocated: 63 FML: MCP v7.26a FML v4.7.35.556 Minecraft Forge 6.6.2.534 75 mods loaded, 75 mods active
