  1. So here is the story today I was talking to my friend about setting up a local server but I don't want to use hamachi so I had the idea to run a tekkit server using the BT wifi with FON network (we are both BT users) I thought if I used the minecraft auto set-up system ( the broadcast to local internet button) I might be able to play with him. I know it sounds strange to ask this but would that A: be legal B: be safe C: free and D: work properly please answer quickly I want to play tonight if at all possible ps: sorry if this is the wrong section it looked about right
  2. Sorry if that's not a good description really what I want is for the modpack only to be accessible by me and a friend who i was going to email it to
  3. Recently I updated my technic launcher (by that I mean the actual launcher) after updating I noticed there are no longer any custom modpack slots my question is how do I now use the technic laucher to create custom modpacks without using the tekkit create a modpack site page because I don't want my pack to be visible sorry if this has been asked before I did look a bit before posting and sorry if it's in the wrong section but I thought it was right at the time
  4. does it do that even if you go offline? (stupid question)
  5. Any way there are only about 60 mods and personally I wish that there where some more like Traincraft but I still like the tekkit pack because it has a mod for everything you could really need and I admit there are some mods I never use but other people do
  6. Are you definitely sure you are saving the file before reopening? (I know stupid question)
  7. What is wrong with having lot's of mods? most of them have a perfectly reasonable point and if you don't want all the mods then why not just delete the ones you don't want?
  8. Why not just look in the top left hand corner on the of the technic launcher window and see what the numbers are eg mine says: Technic Launcher-1.1.2.0 (tekkit lite) and if you want to know the version of mincraft just load up tekkit lite and look in bottom left hand corner of the screen!
  9. Oh I think I know what you mean but I have tried putting modloader mods on forge but it just crashes even though supposedly forge has 100% compatibility and can I ask how exactly you quoted my post even though it's listed as if you posted it before mine?
  10. OH stupid me I always take ages trying to get them that way round
  11. Are You sure the problem isn't just that the timer is facing the wrong way? Isn't it supposed to be on a 90 degree angle to the transposer ?
  12. fair point I do see what you mean but I still think using a computer would be cheaper and possibly could do even more than you need it too
  13. a.) using computercraft you can do that anyway b.)you could hide a computer inside micro blocks and therefore have red wool emitting energy c.) that's cheaper too and finally d.)you can change the micro blocks you use to suit the surroundings simple! and I'm basing it off the fact that since you are basing this off minecraft with one mod on tekkit with about 20 mods on would be slower still surely
  14. there is still lag though it may be lowered slightly but not enough to justify hours of work for coders that have lives of their own
  15. It was a rhetorical question! and I really can't say I even notice "vast" frame rate improvement in Tekkit anyway because since it has so many mods it's laggy sometimes anyway
  16. a torch is cheaper!? or even a lever!?
  17. what's the point of upgrading to 1.5.1 the only new thing that is involved in it that tekkit hasn't got an equivalent of is the redstone block and really what does that do that red wool doesn't?
  18. If you are putting the mods and forge on at the same time then that is a problem and the the new version of forge (for minecraft 1.5.1) has a file within it called META-INF so that I think you are supposed to delete both META-INFs ( That's what I did and it worked fine)
