  1. The version of Mekanism you are using was released on November 15, 2014. The most recent build came out yesterday. The version of CoFHCore you are using came out on December 13, 2014. The current release came out about a week ago. The version of Biomes O' Plenty you are using came out on November 23, 2014. The current release came out on February 10, 2015. The list would go on for a while.
  2. Assuming that is your own custom modpack, there are many mods that are out of date and/or mismatched. Updating those would be the first place to start. if it still crashes after everything is up to date you will likely need to take this to the Factorization thread on MCF.
  3. If you have a ton of other stuff running and then launch a modded MC pack with 2G allocated it is quite possible that you are running out of RAM in the overall system. Try launching Tekkit Classic with 1G allocated in the Launcher.
  4. Hmm, yeah, using a Mac changes where you would collect that info. Go to the "Launcher Options" inside the launcher and look at the "JAVA SETTINGS" tab. Verify your Java version and memory allocation there. The rest of the information should be available with a couple Google searches (I don't use a Mac).
  5. What does the crash report look like? (in a pastebin service, not directly in the thread here)
  6. Ensure that you are using the latest Java 8 64bit for your platform. Also, double check the Launcher settings to verify that it has found and is using the correct version of Java. Never allocate more than 4G or half your physical RAM in the Launcher, whichever is smaller. The client reporting that it is only using 80G isn't completely off base. After GC (Garbage Collection) events mine does the same, at least when shortly after starting a SSP world. Are you sure that (for whatever reason) there aren't extra Java parameters being supplied by system settings? You can open a command prompt and type "set" (without quotes) to get a complete list of the current environment variables. Feel free to use a pastebin service to link those here if you have questions. If you bring up the Task Manager (after addressing allocation and Java settings from the first couple bullet points) while running the client, how much memory is being reported as used/free? How does your CPU load look?
  7. Client Pack: The contents of your modpack archive have changed but the version number has not. The version number must be incremented/changed every time the pack archive changes in order for the Launcher to detect that a pack update is available. I directed you to the exact location required to download the correct version of IC2 and yet your modpack contains a (incorrect) version of the mod from some content stealing website. Why would you not have followed my instructions? The post I linked you to for IC2 mods clearly states (by the author) that version 1.6.2e is required for the experimental build of IC2. You really want to be including the IC2Fixes mod in the pack. Something is wrong with the pack as a whole. I can add the pack and it fails with the log4j error you posted, but if I simply launch it again it works. You have many mods which are out of date. Most 1.6.4 mods are no longer being updated so it would be prudent to update all your mods to their latest/last 1.6.4 versions before trying to figure out what is going on. I suspect that doing so will resolve this issue.
  8. Shall we play a guessing game for which modpack you might be referring to? I'll vote for this one: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/journey-of-the-mage
  9. Posting unrelated requests in a thread that is nearly a year old is considered bad form. You do not have "the same problems but with different mods". You have a different problem. In the future, please create a new thread when you require assistance. You have the Forge installer as your /bin/modpack.jar. The modpack.jar file should be the correct version of the Forge universal binary JAR file renamed to modpack.jar.
  10. OP has provided the link to his pack details page. That is all which is required to get everything one would ever need to know about the pack.
  11. Sweet mother of necroposts. In answer to your question: No, it has server-side components as well.
  12. Your modpack settings indicate you have selected MC version 1.8.1. You probably wanted 1.7.10. The contents of your modpack are in a subfolder. The required folders (bin, config, mods) must be at the top level of the folder structure inside the modpack archive. If you intend to use IC2 in a 1.6.4 modpack I highly recommend reading this post: . If you have any trouble finding the correct versions of those files just let me know. I have them all. You have no config files in your modpack. This is always bad and in 1.6.4 packs often a fatal oversight.
  13. Flan's mod weapon packs go in a folder named "Flan" (note the capital F) at the top level of the folder structure alongside the bin, config and mods folders.
  14. It goes in the "top level" of the folder structure alongside the bin, config and mods folders.
  15. You are missing the /bin/modpack.jar file. This file is the correct version of the Forge universal binary JAR file renamed to "modpack.jar".
  16. The Flan's Mod weapon packs go in a top level folder called "Flan" (note the capital F) inside your modpack archive.
  17. Please provide the API URL or pack details page link.
  18. You should probably be using Forge 1.7.2 #1147 instead of #1121. Forge for 1.7.2 requires Lexmanos' legacy java fixer mod: http://technicpack.net/article/attention-modpack-authors.105 All of your mods have odd names which the authors do not use. The implication is that you aren't getting the mods from the locations specified by the mod authors. This often results in using out of date and mismatched mods.
  19. Creating a server from a custom modpack:
  20. You would append the string ?download=1 to the end of your public share URL from copy.com.
  21. Posting links through this site to material removed though a DMCA notice exposes the operators to the same legal action.
  22. You really, really want to remove that link. Immediately.
  23. MCPC+ (later known as Cauldron) is no longer available due to a DMCA takedown. You must either use Forge as your server JAR or find Cauldron from another source (other than these forums).
  24. Ahh. Glad it's working. A note of advice: renaming mod files, specifically when that removes the mod version number, is usually a bad idea.
  25. For recipe changes you probably want to be using MineTweaker: http://minetweaker3.powerofbytes.com/ For the change to MystCraft, there are config options to control what you are trying to do.
