1. Whats about "Steve's Carts"? Its not a complete replacement for railcraft, but it improves the carts to a level that they become really usefull.
2. Okay, thank you very much, that works. I tried almost all other directions before: The sides and the bottom, but not the front...
3. I usually use quarries, but I always place them underground to keep the surface landscape intact. I recommend 60x60 ones, so you don't need to babysit them all the time.
4. Does anybody know how to use the Wind Turbine (id:1510:6) from the Mechanism mod? Somehow it doesn't connect to my cables.
5. @ Calvariae: Thats purpose. In the mod description the author says you should plant gysahls, and sometimes you get a loverly or golden one. I experienced that in my game as well and it works fine. I only have the problem of finding a female cocobo, but I gues thats just bad luck.
6. For me the solution with permGen on worked fine, no crash since then. But I noticed a smaller issue: It is not possible to craft Straw (id:1145) for the Chocobos because Wheat Flour has the same recipe. A solution could be, to remove the recipe for the flour and merge 20664:1 and 20664:2 into 12849:12. But Im not sure if that is possible for the modpack creator.
7. I just experienced a big memory leak with the 1.3.9 <latest> version when in singleplayer. I just started a quite new world after the update. Anybody else encountering the same problem? I assigned 4 GB and the game uses all of it up till it freezes and crashes. java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.MethodAccessorGenerator$1.run(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.MethodAccessorGenerator$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at sun.reflect.MethodAccessorGenerator.generate(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.MethodAccessorGenerator.generateSerializationConstructor(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.ReflectionFactory.newConstructorForSerialization(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass.getSerializableConstructor(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass.access$1500(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass$2.run(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass$2.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass.lookup(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectOutputStream.writeObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectOutputStream.writeObject(Unknown Source) at java.util.HashMap.writeObject(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectStreamClass.invokeWriteObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectOutputStream.writeSerialData(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectOutputStream.writeOrdinaryObject(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectOutputStream.writeObject0(Unknown Source) at java.io.ObjectOutputStream.writeObject(Unknown Source) at java.util.HashMap.writeObject(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) Im now trying to run with the "increase PermGen" option that can be selected in the technicpack launcher.
8. I turned it off as well. On my old server I had ee enabled (or most parts of it), since I thought it helps the people to build much cooler buildings etc. Like a little bit of creative mode. But it just lead to people, building more and more HV-Solar arrays and spamming ressources, beeing bored and quit. Now I disabled it, and somehow the people became much more creative, build nice looking villages and also the whole economic system makes much more sense and fun. But yea, that alone wouldn't justify to remove EE completely from the pack. So here comes another argument for removing EE completely: To have free item id's which you could use to add other mods that might work nicer with the other mods in tekkit.
9. Ok, I used World Edit. Luckily there is a Version that supports the new Anvil Map format: https://github.com/mcedit/mcedit/downloads MCEdit-0.1.1.win32.zip With that Version its also very convenient to find and jump to player positions. Since I knew which player caused the big lag, I was able to jump to him. After unselecting that items should be viewed the editor was running with more than 0.04 FPS and I was able to delete the entities around. Thanks!
10. Hi, ive got a problem: A player on my server created an overflowing cobble gen. Now the server get stuck when I try to restart. I dont have console access, only FTP and via a Webform where I can restart or stop the server. Do you have any idea how I can delete all the drops from the savefile? I looked for some Plugins, but it seems as if they only work from ingame via a console command. So I wondered if it is possible to remove the items directly from the savefile? Thanks...
11. Server Version: 3.04 Version of Java: Newest (7..something) Description of Problem: Server crashes Further information: Happens when using a RedPower2 Timer the first time. Happens only once, after that timers can be crafted and used without crashing. Log (the only errormessage in the log):
12. We found the bug: If you use the Wireless Tracker on someone, and that player loggs off, the server crashes. It is definately Wireless Redstone.
13. Dont want to remove CC from my server. But its a good hint, I will tell my users to be more carefull with their programs. I have a very little and nice community so I think thats the best way.
14. I can confirm this crash, had the same on my server. Here the log:
15. I thin you missunderstand: I alread OP'ed them and they are still not able to operate in Faction Areas. Also the factions.bypass permission is given to them but I think the problem whith that is, that usually as admin you also need to perform a command to enable/disable the bypass functionality. Since the mod fakeplayers dont actively write commands to the chat to activate bypassing factions, the have the right to do so but they cant enable that function. A possible solution would be, if it was possible to perform a chat command for a player. Is that possible? So lets say I would like player xyz to use /home or something, like sudo. That way I could enable the bypassing by myself by saying /sudo [buildcraft] /f bypass What im asking myself too is, why don't I see at least the attemp of the mod fake players asking for some permissions when I switch debugging in pex on?
16. Hmm, that doesn't solves it for me, since for example the quarry work only outside the faction areas.
17. Re: MAJOR NEI GLITCH FOR GETTING ALL ITEMS ON ANY SERVER(DUPING or w/e with 3.0.3-4) Thank you for the report, I immediately deleted that file. I hope there will be a fix soon...
18. I already did that, see my post in the other thread for my permissions.yml: Other Thread
19. Okay, and how does it work with quarries etc? As far as I know they don't have id's or at least they are not visible? Edit: neither /op ComputerCraft22 or /op [ComputerCraft22] work. My Turtle has the id 22.
20. op'ing [ComputerCraft] doesn't help for me. Here is my modifyworld/config.yml:
21. Hello, I have a problem: All my block-breaking machines dont work: Mining Turtle, the IC2 Digger, Quarry etc. Plugins: Factions iConomy Lockette Modifyworld PermissionsEx SafeCreeper ShowCaseStandalone WorldBorder WorldEdit WorldGuard Permissions.yml, just the relevant part for mods: mods: permissions: - factions.kit.admin - '*' - worldguard.god - factions.bypass - modifyworld.* users: '[RedPower]': group: - mods '[industrialCraft]': group: - mods '[buildCraft]': group: - mods '[ComputerCraft]': group: - mods The strange thing: If I setup my turtle to dig the block in front every 1 Second, and then I use /pex toggle debug to monitor the permissions checking for a while (30 Seconds), I dont see any player [ComputerCraft] asking for something. Did I miss anything? What is going wrong? Did they remove the fake-player system?
22. Ich have the exact same problem. Recipes that were not working: Ruby-Tools Treetap Copper-Cable After a restart they work again but Im not sure for how long... Edit: Seems to occur after I use /reload ingame.
23. Thanks! Do you have experience with disablecraft? Does it work for Tekkit 3?
24. @ Jargen: People who want to mass-produce UU-Matter (im talking of about 1 UU-Matter per Sec) need A LOT of energy. So guess how many lava-generators need to be feeded to achieve that...
25. Hello, Ive mastered to ban certain items with modifyworld and permissions, but somehow the crafting-permission of modifyworld doesn't seem to work (at least for IC2-Coins). Does anybody have experience how to disable certain recipes? What I want to do is, I want to allow people to carry IC2-Coins, but I dont want them to craft them. That way I can setup a iConomy <-> IC2-Coins Exchange Station so People can trade with Trade-o-Mats or build bunkers to keep their money in.
