I haven't had any issue. Fluidduct plus a void pipe. No worries about tanks over flowing.

Anyone know where to find one? Starting to get annoying with all the holes in the texture. What patches I have found are outdated.
-
They are usually the ones screaming for help once they start running into ID conflicts. They also wouldn't know better, or even how to put a mod pack together.

1. Mods released are in the public domain. If they never wanted it in public packs then they should have never released it. 2. Their copyrights/licenses are illegitimate, and unenforceable through court. 3. People would ask for permission if a large portion of mod makers would let go of there egos, and quit being jerks. 4. What you and curse are trying to do will land in hot water with Mojang as it will be against their EULA. The whole you can't make money off of Minecraft in any way excluding Youtube.

Big Dig 1.3.14 or 'how unleashed spoiled me'
theskull251 replied to varietygamer's topic in Big Dig Discussion
Thermal Expansion and Mekanism are at least two of mods that are holding Big Dig back from being 1.6.2 at least. Bunch of builds for 1.6.2 for Mekanism none yet though recommended. -
I hate adfly it seems almost every mod for Minecraft has to be downloaded from there. It isn't that I don't want to wait for five seconds. It is all the bogus ads that link to somewhere else than what they are advertising. Programs that might be free, but come with adware or spyware. I find it hard to believe the modders don't know this. One reason why I prefer to the Technic launcher. I avoid the possibility of infecting my computer from downloading a mod from adfly.

Scala download every time? (build 290, MC 1.6.4)
theskull251 replied to Jim1971's topic in Platform Pagoda
As it is sometimes with big updates things don't go as smooth as the developers hope for. The Technic team though got this done pretty quick. Even major MMO devlopers which rake in millions per month have bugs and hiccups almost every big update. The Technic team does a great job considering they are doing this for free. -
Technic (and general mod pack) Enhancement Ideas
theskull251 replied to Judgeman2021's topic in Platform Pagoda
If you had seen the egos some of the modders display you would realise no such thing would ever work. I appreciate the work the modders do, but honestly I have never seen a more hostile bunch in any gaming community. Sad thing is we as the end users enable this behavior by not showing them the door. -
I used Ubuntu One. While slow to download from it is simple as two clicks to make the link public.

bad video driver in technic pack but fine in regular mc
theskull251 replied to TheHappyMiner's topic in Cafe Lame
Go to Newegg.com, and look through the video cards they have. You will find everything from low end dirt cheap cards to the best money can buy. Caution though some cards even on the low end require power directly from the power supply. -
Getting over aversion to playing on servers?

theskull251 replied to TheHappyMiner's topic in Cafe Lame
Intergrated graphics suck plain and simple. Trust me even a cheap dedicated video card makes a huge difference as far as overall performance is concerned. I put a basic $100 ATI 6750 in my computer. I went from 15 fps on lowest setting for my racing sim to 100 plus stable running the graphics full blast. This is from a off the self HP I got at Wal-Mart for $500 3 years ago with AMD Athalon II 4 core and 5 gigs of ram. No where near a purpose built Gaming Rig. $600 total and 3 years later I can still run all my games at at least 40 fps including anything that has come out in the last 6 months. But I admit it is time for an upgrade she is. starting to show her age. Sniff sniff -
Saintfan upon a closer look you are doing it completely wrong follow this guide to the letter. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/luke%E2%80%99s-hopefully-comprehensive-modpack-making-guide.44197/

Well his .zip is either not named correctly or he doesn't have the drop box folder properly set up for public sharing. I got the same error testing mine. Renamed the folder to match my packs name plus the version number. It worked once I did that.
-
The zip has to have the same name as your modpack. It should be testpackforarcanegaming1.0.zip

I have been adding mods to PC games for a while. I will say this about about most of them. The mod creators don't have a giant ego in most of the communities. The Mine craft community though is outright ludicrous in how a large portion of mod makers behave. I understand not wanting someone to steal your work, and claim as their own. But threatening to sue or suing someone over including it a mod pack. Purposely crashing their game because you have a beef with another modder or a platform. I have seen modders be hostile towards users of their mods because they don't quite understand how to make it work right. All this negative behavior from modders is damaging to the community. Other communities would have ran their collective butts out. It such a shame too so many good quality mods, but once their mod gets popular it is like you shoved a telephone pole up their rear.
-
Well after searching for an whether or not I could include some mods in my pack I found my answer. With the devoloper explicitly stating no public packs. To take those mods out would rip out the heart of my pack. So RIP Universitas Offensus dead before release.

I added IC2 to a pack I am putting together, and to be honest there isn't anything it does that isn't done by something else. I may just remove it. No point in having a mod the does the same thing as another mod or mods in this case. Just adds unneeded complexity. On a side I don't like that when you go to move a IC2 machine it just drops a machine block, and you have to recraft it. So in my opinion IC2 and Buildcraft in the same mod pack is pointless.

Is there anyone to ask for making a Modpack for me?
theskull251 replied to OwSmak's topic in Platform Pagoda
Resonant Induction is a 1.6 mod won't work with any 1.5 versions of MC. That is where your problem is. -
During testing of my mod pack I have come across a rather odd missing texture issue. The progress bar for all of the Buildcraft machines is missing. Any ideas as to what would cause this? While not a game breaking issue that would impede the public release of my pack I would like to have it fixed before then. I am using the latest version of FML for 1.5.2 for my pack could downgrading to an older version fix it?

ID conflict, ID's not in any configs?
theskull251 replied to KennyMcCormick's topic in Platform Pagoda
First check to make sure you are using the same version of Tekkit as the server you are trying to join is. The IDs may have changed. -

theskull251 replied to KennyMcCormick's topic in Platform Pagoda
That isn't a conflict. The IDs have been changed from what they were previously. If an conflict happens mine craft would crash, and give you an error report. -
Sizeable donation will be given to the person who's submission I chose. What I am looking for. The name of my mod pack translates into "Worlds Collide" so two planets coming together in a massive cosmic collision for the launcher background, and a exploding planet for the thumbnail would fit the bill. Be creative.

Luke’s (Hopefully) comprehensive modpack making guide.
theskull251 replied to lukeb28's topic in Platform Pagoda
Thanks Luke this guide is very helpful. So far I haven't run into any ID conflicts. Few more mods and I will have my self a mod pack. Trying to find mods that will give my pack it's own unique flair. Once done with that it is off too making a server pack. EDIT: I DID IT!!! Only took 3 tries but I got it uploaded right and working on the platform. Well just the what I consider the core. A few more mods and some testing it will be ready for public release.
