  1. Is there a way to make either iridium ore or Quantum Armor not be craftable? Can't seem to find one in the config. I'd like to ban quantum armor, since it makes you pretty much invincible. Also, is there much danger of swapping the blast force of reactors and nukes? Could I mess something up by altering their default values to be something quite a bit bigger?
  2. Depends how the company treats "customers". Some companies treat them as moneysacks, others put them on a pedestal. I always PREFER people treating each other like people, but putting people on a pedestal is a legitimate way to get customers feeling happier with your company.
  3. I noticed when showing my friends the launcher that it seems to be normal to just go "No, I totally have the correct version of Java. I made sure of that not long ago" and never actually check. Why is it so hard to check for some people? Should be done just to be sure.
  4. Same reason there's wars over mods, modpacks, RPG classes, etc. Also the same reason there's been many ethnic problems and issues with skin colors in real life. It's human nature to mentally place someone into a group, and then stereotype that group. You then associate yourself with a group, similarly, and try to prove why your group is best. The human mind is a strange thing, trying to overcome its flaws is one of the best goals a person can have.

  7. Trying it out in single-player. Looks like there'll be some amazing stuff! I'm just satisfied having a Mining Bore drive me infinitely into the distance! Thanks for all that you do, Technic Team, <3 Super excited for the full release. :)

  10. So, I wanted to try running a map without Equivalent Exchange for a bit. I went into Modloader in config and in jar/config and swapped EE to "off" in the config files for modloader. I then told the server to make a new world to be the default world (it had its own name) This caused the server to crash on startup. I have Multiverse2 Core, Portals, Netherportals, and Inventories. Perhaps it is loading my default world files, and then finding items from a mod that is turned off? I'll pastebin the error log in a moment when I swap over to my desktop.
  11. Honestly, after playing around with Combustion Engines, I'm not too sad about losing Electric Engines. They seem kinda OP to me now xD Sad I won't get the bees though. Those looked cool

I guess I'm British with some Irish and apparently a random French pirate in there somewhere. I know my family tree branched off of a nobleman from Britain (some Earl). Unfortunately, my family didn't come from his traditional lineage. We were spawned from his mistress (he was married, so yeah) and branched off from there. Cool story, eh? The origin of my family is the illegitimate bastard child of a nobleman. I'M TECHNICALLY HEIR TO SOMETHING THAT PROBABLY DOESN'T EVEN EXIST ANYMORE! WHOO!!

  14. No, but I use Fuel to power generators that power miners. It's a huge pain in the ass and hideously inefficient, but I get to tear apart mother nature to make biofuel!! Like a TRUE industrialist!

  18. Thanks, but that doesn't answer my question. Alternatively, finding out how to ban certain things in certain worlds (alchemy bags, ender chests, philo stone, energy collector, all that jazz)

  20. Because, despite all the amazing things the Technic Pack does for his mod, he (apparently) did not specifically grant permission to Technic before it was added? That was what I gathered. I of course, not being a member of the Technic crew, do not know the exact specifics. He seems mostly upset that he didn't have things go exactly as he would've liked.
  21. This. He said he regularly gives permission to modpacks, and I have no reason to suspect that that is a lie. He seems a respectable guy, just a bit prideful.
  22. So I installed Multiverse, and I heard you can edit permissions to disallow certain mods/plugins/items for each. I wanted to have different worlds, like a Luddite world where technology wasn't allowed, or a Witchhunter world where Equivalent Exchange (or maybe just philo stones) weren't allowed. To clarify, my Multiverse is Multiverse 2 Core, Portals, Netherportals, and Inventories. I also have WorldGuard.
