  1. With an OV scanner, to avoid leaving giant gaping holes in the landscape? Some people like their worlds quarry-hole-free.
  2. The SWRG was always supposed to need fuel as I recall - it was just an SMP bug that it didn't. I think it was fixed in 3.1.0.
  3. Errr, you need the world folders too. All the world.dat file does is tell you which region is where, as I recall. Note: You will lose your entire inventory and any character progress you've made (xp).
  4. Ordinarily, I would tell you to go post a bug report in the right spot. Today, I'll just issue a warning and tell you how to fix it. Remove duplicate mod files from your tekkit\mods folder. Alternatively, back up your waypoints and any config files you really want to save, and delete your tekkit folder entirely. Then re-download.
  5. I would strongly discourage posting your email anywhere online. You may find yourself with more spam than usual.
  6. A future version of the mod might, but you usually have to Clear Cache when updating anyway, and the waypoints are part of that. This isn't something the launcher can control unless something is specifically added in to back up waypoints.
  7. Wow, and I thought my sarcasm detector was broken. You...didn't read the linked thread, did you?
  8. Two questions: 1) Did you remove older versions of Java, before or after updating? Java doesn't do that automatically. 2) Do you really care about Nether Ores? Some people do, some don't. If you don't, just delete the nether_Ores.jar or whatever it's called from your server's mods folder. Voila!
  9. Have you tried disabling your antivirus while it tries to connect? Do you have Windows Firewall running? And, according to this site, minecraft.net auth servers are still in "partial outage" stage from the giant mess they had a few days ago.
  10. Huh? The Volcanite Amulet has a feature that allows it to simply vaporize water. Poof, gone, no lava needed.
  11. Yes, yes he is. Odds are he actually has no clue what he's talking about, though.
  12. Errr, did you make sure the name in the batch file matched the name of the launcher .jar file? That has to happen. If it still says unable to access after that, you may need to add Java to your system path variable, but do the name-check first.
  13. Possibly progress, yes. Is your batch file in the same folder as the .jar you're trying to run with it? It should be, unless you wanted to add the .jar's path to the batch file.
  14. I see two reasons for the price on that laptop. One is the brand: HPs are always overpriced for the hardware, especially laptops. The 2nd is the video card. That's a 3d-modelling (SolidWorks) approved card, and it's...not really designed for gaming. You would buy that laptop for a design engineer that's on the road a decent amount.
  15. Geev os de whole launcher log, pleez. Use pastebin if it won't fit in code tags.
  16. Okay, try this. In that same folder (tekkit\bin\natives), delete the two files that start with OpenAL.
  17. Trying use the .jar instead of the .exe, and changing the batch file to match.
  18. Maybe. Which mods are listed? If it's all of them, you need to get rid of AVG and reinstall. If it's between 1 and 7 or so, you have the wrong version of the client for the server.
  19. Go get a new launcher - yours is quite old.
  20. You can mod select. It just involves deleting the mods you don't want. The ones that are integrated into modpack.jar are no more selectable than they used to be, though.
  21. 3 things: 1) Are you sure you're using 64-bit Java? Either use "java -version" from a command prompt, or check in your Control Panel > Programs and Features - it should specifically say "64-bit". 2) Do you have an active firewall? 3) Have you tried running the .jar version of the launcher instead of the .exe versions?
  22. This issue shows up when you're trying to allocate more memory than you have free. How much are you trying to use, and what other programs do you have running at the same time?
  23. Guys! This guy would like his error sorted, right away! So, he PMs me for help... Torezu No (in case you missed the one about PMing mods or admins) and no (in case you missed the Submit a Bug Report button at the top). I spend enough time helping people who are willing to take the time to post a bug report after reading a little bit. Don't be lazy. Charlie Langstone I already have. And it didn't get solved. Me and another admin had a long conversation about it and he finally just stopped talking. This needs sorting. Torezu No, you need to stop PMing admins and mods. Charlie Langstone No. I think you didn't read the above message properly as your comment makes no sense to what I previously said. I need help and I'm not getting it. This is wrong. He needs help, and he's not getting it! This is wrong! He was able to sucker someone (assuming he's not lying) into helping him in PMs, so he feels entitled. Good luck, Mr. Langstone! Enjoy your new avatar!
  24. Clearly he does, or he wouldn't have posted it, unless he's trolling. Either way...
  25. Huh? It's not downloading - this has nothing to do with memory use. Stop spouting crap. That's hard drive space.
