Are you...trying to run two copies at once?
-
Read the stickies before posting. Those threads, at the top of the section? Yeah, those. Especially the one that says COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS.
-
You could try using the .jar version of the launcher (just download and double-click to run it, though there should be one in the launcher directory already anyway).
-
Then...don't use them? People are presenting a very viable option on how to find resin when you can't find rubber trees. To the OP: after you have an extractor, go look in a jungle for a massive RP2 rubber tree (or two or three), cut it down, and run the wood through the extractor. Gobs of rubber.

The Mercurial Eye can also do this, but the Philosopher's stone can only affect certain materials, and its effect is in a cube, whereas the Merc. Eye affects a square on plane with the clicked block. The Philosopher's stone changes blocks into something else - what they change into depends on whether you're holding shift when you right-click or not.

Do you have a launcher log to look at?
-
Classic antivirus/firewall interference. Turn it off during the download/installation process.
-
No. The mod packs are still at 1.2.5, and will not be updated to run with MC 1.3.1 for quite some time yet.
-
Install Microsoft .NET Framework, 2, 3.5, and 3.5 SP1. Then go reinstall your mod pack of choice.

Have you tried going into both Program Files (x86) and Program Files and removing any Java directories there, after you uninstalled them from Control Panel? It seems like you have an extra one that's not showing up otherwise. The other thing to do is completely uninstall/delete/disintegrate AVG, since it will often interfere with stuff when it's disabled. If you get the "Can't find Java directory" again, either reboot after installing Java (since it adds Java to the path automatically at that point, usually) or add Java to the system path variable manually if that doesn't work.

[3.1.2][24/7][Mature] Tekkitia - A Small, Friendly Server [30 Slot]
Torezu replied to Bewood's topic in White List Servers
The latter. You can talk about how you were kellered all you want. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out who to believe, so I'm going to tend to side with the person who's acting the most maturely, which right now isn't you. Drop it. The server will either continue running if the owner's telling the truth, or it'll collapse if you are. It's not worth throwing a fit over. Since it's still here, you should probably just leave it be. -
New launcher log, then.

Launcher Failing.... Technic Launcher Logo stays on Screen.
Torezu replied to Wicklow's question in Technic Launcher
Yeah, I'd try disabling that during startup and to download any mod pack, at the very least. It's known to cause problems with the launcher. -
I, and pretty much everyone else here, refuse to troubleshoot by proxy. If a reinstall or new launcher isn't fixing it, get your friend to do his own work.

Go Ahead! Update something new!
Torezu replied to TheShadow48402's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
There is a section on this forum for pre-configured texture packs. Go get them there, and stop clogging up this section. Your request will not be granted. -
No clue. Use the Bug Board, and provide pictures.
-
The cause of your problem, right now, is posting in the wrong place. Use the bug board, or maybe the texture pack section, even though it's not really for bugs.

Quantum with power items - gem armor would be hard pressed. Ring of Arcana: flying, fire (and total fire/lava immunity), ice, and farming all in one! Anyways, I know there's another thread like this around here somewhere...wait, there are (at least) two! Here and here. And I didn't even have to look very hard!

Will Tekkit Be Updated in time for MC1.3?
Torezu replied to ELIT3_Ryan's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Something like this was done for Technic a while back. You're welcome to post something - I won't stop you, and it might even get a sticky it if it's good enough. It's just that it's a hard and thankless job to keep up with the progress of all the mods, especially if you're not in direct contact with the modders. -
If they're going to have the same blast radius, why not just remove them from the game? The file called mod_EE.props in the server root directory has shutoffs for many of the EE items, and IC2 Aragaith has already mentioned.
-
This isn't really Tekkit server-related, it's more a Minecraft server problem. It's an indication that either you don't have enough RAM dedicated to your server, or your internet connection is not fast enough to support your server very well. There may be in-game causes like lots of items dropped or a lot of machinery running.
-
If you can manage to select the entire airship without picking any of the blocks that would interfere with trees, you'll be fine. Otherwise, you'll be missing some tree sections.
-
The NEI plugin doesn't work, apparently. Right-clicking will either do nothing or give you 1 of the item if you're OP'd.
-
Push 'O'. Otherwise, it's either that you're not running in full screen, or that your GUI Scale is too large.

Blaze Powder farm/regulator question.
Torezu replied to Sam6555's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Condensers are supposed to extract up to 10 items/second out of their inventory to condense into things. They seem to be able to produce nearly an unlimited number of items quickly, given the proper fuel (I've seen a condenser change a single red matter into about 50 stacks of lava cells in a heartbeat before, though that may have changed).
