In the YouTube videos I've seen (a lot, believe me) the best either show me cool new things (Direwolf20), have hilarious improv/drama (Which is why the Yogscast's Tekkit series was so good, and their Yogcraft series was so boring), or build cool stuff, especially in a group setting (Bdouble0, Etho, Guude, Mindcrack essentially). A fun personality or sense of humor doesn't hurt, and neither does a good mic. I'd really like to see the Yogscast start a new modded Minecraft series, actually, and for them to do it right. None of this Sips and Sjin helping muck around with bees... back to the good stuff! Industrial Espionage, fallouts, spying, SipsCo breathing down Honeydew Inc's neck... Or maybe you could beat them to it! ;)

Not yet. It will soon, but Pahimar has a lot of personal stuff going on irl, and codes carefully and in high quality, so EE3 features are a long time coming. The plan is to have a condenser like mechanic, but balanced. It is still alpha, after all.

Pack suggestion: Add OpenBlocks!

I don't think you'd have to install this "toomanymods." Did you maybe forget to update your server from 1.1.7, or maybe 1.1.5, or even 1.0.6?

I didn't know OpenBlocks could do the multiple torches thing, I did know Forge Multipart could do that. That will be an awesome addition, probably 1.6, and will also allow for the return on WRCBE! I saw Wylkers vid on openblocks, the tanks look awesome!

If you don't mind cheating a bit off camera, you can name villager spawn eggs in an anvil to name them.

ExtrabiomesXL lets villages spawn in many of its new biomes, even the hilly ones.

The command block would work very well, as long as the pack is on MC 1.3 or later. If the pack is on 1.5, you could even do a bit of redstone magic with a daylight sensor. In 1.6 we'll be able to turn off the day/night cycle altogether! If the pack is 1.2 (Tekkit Classic) I'm afraid you're out of luck as far as in-game solutions go.

Electrodynamics (linky) is an epic mod of vaguely similar to IC2 while being more realistic and a heck of a lot cooler. What IC2 should have been, imo, plus lots more. Their modeler also makes stuff for NASA. Definitely Tekkit material once it's stable/out of alpha. I mean, this is the highest quality mod I've ever seen. Any mod I ever make i want to be as good as this.
